Just like that another academic year is over!
We have had another amazing year full of fun, laughter, learning and adventures…we truly are so grateful to be able to share this with the most amazing children and love every minute of our job.
Some of our highlights for the last term have been Sports Day (thank you to all the families for coming along and to Karen Forrester for her help), tree climbing, Teddy walks, playing in the garden, toasting marshmallows, trips to Culross, Solgirth Farm, Torryburn and Forth Valley College (to see the Photography and Art Exhibition and watch a music film being made) with many other adventures!
We would like to thank all our families for allowing us to be a part of your child’s care, learning and development and looking forward to making more memories in the next academic year with them and to welcoming our new families.
We would like extend a special thank you and farewell to our little Graduate and thank you to their family for choosing us we have loved every minute with them and can't wait to celebrate their special day with you all.

Today we had Max and Belinda from The Uphill Trust Charity visit us to receive the sponsorship money raised.
The children completed different challenges and participated in various fundraising activities both in the Daycare and out with.
The amazing sum of £850 was raised by the children including a donation from Mrs Differ and Miss Glynn and we can't thank all our children and families enough supporting this years charity.

The children are all very excited as they head off on their Easter break awaiting a visit from the Easter Bunny! We have had a very busy time since returning from our Christmas holidays and the children have participated in lots of activities, experiences and learning.
The Preschool children have been interested in different transport and have had visits from and to ….the Cumbernauld Airport where they received a special meeting with a pilot and a wave from two pilots ready to take off. They went to Atritrac Exports where they were very lucky to be able to go on some of their amazing transport and received lovely goody bags and Gogar Services visited the Daycare and the children had a turn in the lorry and received a special goody bag. We were eternally grateful to everyone for giving the children such amazing experiences, thank you.
The children have also been getting very ‘Messy’ having lots of fun with various sensory exploration both at Daycare, outdoors and, for some of the children, going to Messy Monday’s! The children have been learning about Road Safety and have begun planting and growing, detecting signs of Spring and learning new Makaton signs, some new French vocabulary and continually developing their literacy, health and wellbeing and numeracy skills.
Both Preschool and After School Club children have been listening to a story called ‘Patience goes Uphill’ and this was all about the Uphill Charity which, after discussion with the children following the story, is this year’s chosen charity. The After School Club created some beautiful pictures and have set their own challenges to raise some money for the charity with ideas such as climbing Dumyat in an hour and a half, going on a 15 mile Bike Ride, creating items such as homemade bracelets and paintings to sell. Preschool children are going on a sponsored walk around the University.
After School Club children have been caring for Teddy, working together to build their marble runs and taking on the challenge of building their chosen lego kits in a certain time, they have also been out and about tree climbing and they were very happy to find the first set of ducklings!
We hope you all have a great Easter Holiday from all of us at Mrs Differ’s Daycare and we can’t wait to see what the Summer Term has in store!

What an amazing first term!
We have welcomed new and existing children and families to the Daycare and After School Club this academic year.
The Daycare children have been building new friendships and relationships while adapting to new routines and settling in to their new environment. We have been exploring some new and interesting places, participating in bikeability and engaging in a variety or activities and experiences. We were very lucky to have a special visit to the Fire Station and thank Fire Fighters Mark, Kenny and Richard for taking the time to show the children around and letting them use the hose, wear the special helmet and sit in the Fire Engine with the blue lights flashing!
After School Club have also been welcoming new children, building friendship and relationships. They have loved making friendship bracelets, keychains and bracelets for their families. The children embarked on treasure hunts around the University reading and following maps especially enjoying the Sculpture Trail. They have ended the term by having a Great British Playdough Bake Off.
We are looking forward to what our next term has in store.
Have a lovely Half Term break everyone.

Just like that it is the end of yet another academic year!
What a term it has been packed full of adventures, children achieving their ambitions and lots of exciting new discoveries.
The Daycare children have enjoyed exploring and learning about Farming and Minibeasts amongst many other activities and experiences.
On one of our adventures some children were lucky enough to watch sheep dog training at Alva from Farmer Kevin who kindly invited us for a visit Auchingarrach Farm. Safe to say we had a fantastic day with lots of added surprises. We would like to thank all Auchingarrach staff and Farmer Kevin.
Some children went on a brilliant visit to The Scottish Deer Centre while others enjoyed The Japanese Gardens just to name a few amazing adventures we have been on this year.
All children have developed immensely with their bikeability skills with some children having set aspirations of cycling pedal bikes before going to school which they all proudly achieved....well done to all our children on these achievements.
Bug hunting for both Daycare and After School Club was a very popular activity and the children learned through this counting, pattern, matching, how to care for living things and the names of minibeasts.
We are so grateful for another amazing year with our Daycare and After School Club Children and cannot begin to thank all the families for choosing our Daycare, we are truly humbled.
We hope everyone has an amazing summer and we look forward to welcoming back some of our families, welcome our new families and wish all our Graduates success in their first year of school .....we will miss them all very much!

Preschool have travelled through ‘Space’ this term! The children loved learning about this interest through so many activities and experiences. They even had a visitor from another planet………very exciting!
The children loved singing ‘I know the Planets’ amongst many other songs and rhymes to deepen their knowledge but hearing them sing this would melt your heart! They have loved this interest so much they will excitedly now share all about this with everyone they meet and their families and friends! A favourite mini bus game is "What planet are you?".
The children have also been learning 2d and 3d shapes, letters and sounds, they have been developing their early writing skills, celebrating World Book Day and learning about other cultural celebrations. A very busy, fun and exciting term ending with lots of Easter Fun!
After School Club have been exploring local history trying to find the new undiscovered ruins at the Stirling University along with a very lucky visit to the Well which has been restored in Bridge of Allan. They received a very informative and interesting talk from Dave, again we cannot thank him enough for his time and teaching us and showing us some local history, and we can't wait to return with another group.
The children have been on many outings, had lots of fun creating and making various things and have had so many great adventures together finishing off with a fun and challenging Easter Egg Hunt.
We hope everyone has a lovely Easter break and we are looking forward to the eggciting times ahead!
Happy Easter love from Joyce and Rosie xx 🐣🐇💕

It was brilliant
We were very privileged to have the opportunity of visiting the Bridge of Allan Wellhouse (a historical landmark in Bridge of Allan) and receive a very informative and interesting presentation from Dave.
The children had lots of questions and they were very lucky to be shown around and given some very special gifts which we can't thank Dave enough for. Please look out for their open days as it is well worth the visit. Well done to the Restoration Team on such an amazing job!
