It might not be my driving test tomorrow, but I'm still getting ready in my own little way.
The car is cleaned and prepped with care, and attention ready for your big day.
A good instructor will take the time and effort to ensure you feel comfortable and ready for your test, and believe me, we feel all the feels too, and care more than you know about your success.

After a well needed holiday in sunny Majorca I'm ready to get back to work.

Well, that's my extra car mirror officially retired! 🚗💥

It decided it no longer wanted to stick to the windscreen and launched itself into the passenger seat, landing on my leg and taking a few years off my life in the process. 😅🤣

👩‍🏫Instructor: "Have you been out practising since your last lesson?"

🧏‍♀️Pupil: "Yes, all the time!"

Sounds great.......BUT........

🚗If every drive is the same route,

🏠 You're only driving on roads you know,

🗺 If road signs aren't being used to help with planning and navigation,

⚠️If mistakes aren't being spotted and corrected, 🥴

📱If the supervisor is scrolling on their phone...

Then that practice may not be as valuable as you think.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT FRIDAY

Could your child begin to learn to drive before they turn 17?

Yes!! But how?

This is my 10yr old daughter Holly. When we are in the car together we often talk about driving:

We dicuss:
🚘 Gears and speed
🚘 Safe gaps at junctions
🚘 Why large vehicles need extra space at roundabouts
🚘 Road signs and markings
🚘 Hazards and awareness

Why?

Because learning to drive starts long before your first lesson.

So many children sit in cars glued to screens, unaware of what’s happening around them.

By simply encouraging them to observe the road, spot signs, read markings and think ahead helps build awareness naturally — and that becomes a massive advantage when they eventually learn to drive themselves.

Children absorb far more than we realise.
As adults behind the wheel, we’re teaching them every single day… whether we mean to or not.
