Not whether they’d enjoy lashes or be good at it, but whether it would actually go anywhere.

And I completely get that.

£1,597 isn’t a small decision and most women looking into our Lash and Brow Fast Track are sensible, hard working women.

15 years ago I was fitting clients around the kids, winging it from my living room, genuinely wondering if any of this was ever going to work.

Today we welcomed Tia to the team. 🖤

And I just want to say, she was absolutely amazing.

Didn’t even flinch when we threw her in at the deep end on her first day. Straight in doing a full set of nails on our manager just so we could see her timings.

Her work is impeccable and she’s more experienced than anyone we’ve ever brought on before which is exciting.

But the bit that got me wasn’t even the nails.

It was just how naturally she fitted in. Like we’ve all known her for years already. Same energy, same chat, same sense of humour. That’s not something you can teach and it matters so much to me in our salon environment.

Building a team that actually feels like a team, that’s one of the things I’m most proud of.

Because I remember exactly what it felt like doing everything myself and getting to a point where I can welcome someone like Tia through the door and know the standard we hold that means everything.

You’ve probably worked hard to get where you are.

You’re good at what you do.

Your life is busy and full like most of us but every now and then you start thinking…..🤔

That thought that pops up when you get a minute to yourself.

When you’re driving, or lying in bed at night, admiring others on social media or watching someone else do something and thinking… I could probably do that or I would love to do that.

Not in a big dramatic way.

Just a quiet feeling that there’s something more you could be doing for yourself as well.

Then life gets busy again and it disappears just as quickly as it came..

I speak to a lot of women who feel like that.

They don’t necessarily want to leave their job.

They’re not looking to start over and just want something that’s theirs as well.

Something they enjoy that they’ve always been interested in.

Something that fits around their life and actually has the potential to grow.

Most don’t act on it straight away.

They think about it, go back and forward, tell themselves they’ll look into it properly at some point and then talk themself out of it.

Let me ask you something? What would your life look like in 2,3,10 years time if you don’t do this….will it look the exact same, will you regret the decision to not back yourself?

Don’t wait and then think …

This might surprise you but the women who do best at this aren’t the ones who come in confident.

In fact, most of them are the complete opposite.

They’re unsure at the start, second guessing themselves, very nervous, scared and asking if they’re doing things right.

But they show up to the course and keep going.

They listen and take feedback on.

They practise and don’t expect it to be perfect straight away.

That’s what makes the difference.

We see it in every course with 90% of students.

The ones who progress the most aren’t the ones who find it easy from day one, they’re the ones who stick with it long enough for it to start making sense, the ones who don’t quit.

That’s when everything changes.

Most people don’t expect it to feel like this at the start.

When you’re watching lashes being done, it looks quite calm and controlled, like something you’ll pick up once you’ve been shown.

Then you sit down with your first model and it’s a completely different feeling.

Your hands don’t quite do what you want them to do, you’re thinking about every step, and nothing feels as smooth as it looked.

We see it every single course.

And the first thing we say is always the same… this is completely normal.

You’re not doing anything wrong. You’ve just started learning something new. You need to build memory muscle.

There’s always a moment where it shifts.

You can see it in someone without them even saying anything.

The way they work becomes more settled, they stop second guessing themselves as much, and everything just starts to come together.

It still might not be perfect, but it’s enough for them to realise they can actually do it.

I think that’s the part people don’t realise before they start. It’s a skill, and like anything worth learning, it takes a bit of time, a lot of practice and the right support around you.

Everything changes.

That’s when it stops feeling overwhelming.

That’s when it actually starts to feel possible.

And that’s when you realise… you were never the problem.
