What an honour it was to be part of Friday night’s show at The Queen's Hall, Edinburgh, for Brownbear Reimagined. Sharing the stage with a full string section made it a really special gig.

What an honour to be invited along to this year’s Dumfries Drum Day. Bob is doing amazing things for the drum community, and I’m grateful to be amongst such a wonderful bunch of drummers. Really looking forward to it!

Introducing our first educator who will be holding 2 sessions in the Education Room, Sam Waller! 🎉🎓

Sam is a Scottish session drummer, educator and founder of Stirling Drum Tuition. With nearly 30 years behind the kit and a decade of teaching experience, he has toured the EU and UK with The View and Easy Life, opening for The 1975, Catfish and the Bottlemen and Paulo Nutini. He has also performed at iconic venues such as London’s Alexandra Palace, Glasgow Barrowlands, Hyde Park, Amsterdam Arena, Berlin Arena and Stirling Castle. Festival appearances include Blue Balls (Switzerland), T in the park, Belladrum and the Wickerman Festival.

The examiner said:
“Your performance pieces were highly assured, and you demonstrated consistently secure techniques with detailed stylistic direction throughout. Sync/pulse were consistent and assured. The delivery was even and expressive, with assured fills and phrasing. Dynamic control was detailed. Technical exercises were assured with consistent subdivision and sticking patterns.”

Last weekend we were lucky enough to have the incredible John Blease drop in to work with some of our young drummers 🥁 An unforgettable experience for all involved.

We are thrilled to announce that on Saturday, November 23rd, the incredible John Blease will be at Stirling Drum Tuition 🥁🥁🥁

John will be leading a masterclass for our students, focusing on his unique approach to drumming and sharing insights from his impressive career performing on some of the world’s biggest stages with the world’s biggest artists!

As one of the UK’s most in demand session drummers, John has played for musical legends such as Robert Plant (yes, from Led Zeppelin), Seal, Paolo Nutini, Florence & The Machine, Tim Minchin, Newton Faulkner, Jamie Cullum, and many many more! 🤯🔥🥁

What an incredible summer it’s been, packed with gigs and festivals! A highlight was my first visit to The Isle of Lewis for Hebcelt 24 as well as an unforgettable performance with Paolo Nutini. 🎶

I hope you all had an amazing summer break. I’m excited to get back into the studio and dive into some serious drumming! 🥁

Lessons start on August 12th, and I’ll be in touch with everyone this weekend—right in between more gigs and one last festival!

We may have been quiet on social media, but our drummers have been incredibly busy in the real world! 🌎

This past week, many of our students have been out showcasing their talents. Huge shoutouts to Murray, who performed at Dunblane High School's prom, and Sophie, who played her second ever gig with her band in Callander.

This week, our very own Leo is on drum kit duties for Balfron High's production of "Disco Inferno," while another Stirling Drum Tuition student, Andrew, will be tackling some challenging pieces at Stirling High School's summer concert as part of the orchestra.

It's truly inspiring to see our students take their passion for music and drumming into the real world. We couldn't be prouder of all they are achieving! 🥁🔥🏆
