How can we bring people out of poverty when capitalism is designed to keep them there?

Repost.

Why not to Brexit Ramblings. .

What is Brexit?
You may have noticed my opinion of Brexit over the last few years, but we now get to the crucial end game stages and what it is seems to be little clearer, but the why has remained constant.

If you read even a little bit of alternative news or literature then you will by now have observed that there are few benefits to Brexit, I will try to detail these later. MSM will be lulling you by simply not mentioning any down side to Brexit. Very convenient.

Why Brexit?
Why would we want to leave the worlds largest trading block, in a European area that has seen peace since the Second World War, An EU that allows us to work, live, marry and travel through the 27 member states. No people in the history of the world have had the freedoms that we are about to lose. So why would we give this up? On an individual basis, given all the pros and cons of EU membership it would seem hard to understand.

The EU may not be perfect, however the UK has had an equal say in all the decisions so we can hardly blame Europe for our woes. Europe did not bring us austerity for example.

The EU has however its opponents, and it seems clear that those who own the media in this country are not fans, think back yourself over the years to the ‘Barmy EU Rules’ headlines in the daily rags, there is a whole website full of debunked headlines, so ok the EU have (with the agreement of all member states) brought in many regulations over the years, rules to protect workers rights, rules to apply food safety regulations, rules on how businesses operate, all to allow us to trade seamlessly across Europe. A level playing field.

Who wouldn’t want to be part of the EU?
Well you may have seen articles mentioning that Tax Avoidance directives from the EU are due to come into force and others saying that the EU asked for the UK pension to be brought into line with the EU. These things may or may not be true. What is clear is that the part of the UK that has the money is world famous for the tax avoidance, so many random wee island tax havens are former British colonies. The UK pension is also the worst in the developed world. Possible reasons to leave the EU? The buzz words used during the leave campaign I recall are ‘Taking back Control’ I will discuss this later in the benefits of leaving section..

Why haven’t we left already?
For reasons we will see later this is a question that many will be asking. I believe the reason we have not left is because we still have just enough politicians who have retained their integrity that actually want what’s best for the UK and are fighting to make the best of a bad deal.

How did we get here?
There was not simply a benign decision one day to ask the country what they thought of being in Europe, some wanted out badly, why would they want out? You can think about that later or accept that tax avoidance would be good enough reason to want out of the EU. Whoever wanted out, the Farage’s of the world and a good part of the Conservative party pushed the then PM to have a referendum, an advisory referendum, we can look at that in slightly more detail shortly.

The campaigning begins in earnest, then we see that it is the money that wants us out of the EU, not too many regular Joe’s were out campaigning to leave the EU, privately educated millionaires were keen. The money has always wanted us out of the EU, 40 years of bad press, 40 years of tabloid headlines against the EU, can you ever remember a headline in all those years saying a good thing about the EU?

The referendum was bought, did you watch the documentary about Cambridge Analytica? You really should before you ever vote again, before you ever click on a random survey on the internet. Clever, clever people pushed a lot of peoples buttons.

Here is how they did it.
Voter profiling and internet data, you may be horrified to know they have been tracking you on the internet. Go look it up.. but you are not going to like it. Facebook got in a lot of trouble over this “Data Breach” but breaking the law to win an advisory referendum doesn’t seem to have troubled Vote leave.

But who paid for this?
Well someone who stood to benefit paid for the profiling, someone paid for the millions of carefully targeted Facebook adverts, Someone bankrolled the leave bus. Was it someone who was doing this for the benefit of all the poor workers exploited by the EU? I suspect there are no altruistic reason why someone paid all that money to win that referendum. Very rich people paid to buy the referendum. One could ask the question is it really a democracy when it can be bought?

The Benefits of leaving.
There will be Blue passports.

That’s about it, Brexit it self harm on a national scale, the money want us to leave so we are about to leave, the money spent on getting us out of Europe is the super rich investing in their own future, looking after their best interests, regardless of the damage that will be done do the economy, regardless of the human cost in lost opportunities and poverty that Brexit is going to bring.

Why are we still doing it if its so bad?
All the economic arguments say that Brexit in all forms is bad for us. Why is there still people who want Brexit? Because the money spent to buy the referendum was just the start, the campaign is ongoing and money is still being spent, the media in this country is fully owned by the money and continues to push for Brexit.

One of the buzz phrases from the leave campaign was ‘Taking back Control’ this is not just a few randomly selected words, these are carefully selected words used to trigger a response in voters, some people heard this and liked the sound of it. Of course it just words, there is not policy or plan backing it up just a short sentence that evokes a response in a section of the general public, lets call them Brexiteers. They probably believe that Brexit is doing just this.

Other short phrases you may here a lot of these days are The will of the people and Why don’t they just get on with it. So these are current leave campaign phrases, likely you will hear them every day on your mind control BBC and read regularly in the rags. If we repeat things often enough they will become the truth and regardless of the dire consequences of Brexit if we just use our propaganda media to deliver these over and over again then the poor viewers will eventually start repeating these themselves. Frightening.

Advisory Referendum, now one might say that a narrow win on an advisory referendum might prompt a grown up democracy, to look at the result and say, well that is pretty close, maybe we should now look at exactly what this means and then once we have thrashed out what we are going to deliver we put it to the people to decide? Ah you say, watching the house of commons then grown up is not one of the things that springs to mind, the archaic, obsolete dinosaur of a parliament holding us to ransom with their old fashioned traditions and made up words.. I mean before a few weeks ago, I have never even heard the word proroguing and I doubt that many had.. so lets dig up some old traditions and try to use them to push through a deal that cannot be delivered through a democratic majority in the commons.

Further on the advisory referendum part, because it was advisory the breaking of the law by Vote leave, the illegal use of voter profiling, the spending money over the amount that they were allowed to spend, and indeed the dark money, simply get them a telling off, because it was advisory there is no way to have the vote again. Do you suppose it was accidentally an advisory referendum? Perhaps someone really clever people with a lot of money have been planning Brexit for a long time and this was the way to do it. Vote leave was found guilty and fined, but yet we are still pushing on with Brexit although leave cheated? Democracy? Fairness and decency?

News designed to form opinion not to inform.
Not a lot of mention in the media about cheating, illegalities, lies and dark money. No, because the UK (maybe lots of countries) media is not a force for good, exposing corruption and holding politicians to account, no its an extension of the money, designed to keep the population in the dark about what is really happening, colluding, misleading, conditioning and brainwashing the people in order that the money that owns them owns you. Watch the parliament channel, watch important debates, then later on watch the highlights or the main news. Every single day the story is chopped and manipulated to sell you the viewer a snapshot that maybe consists of things that were actually said, but watch time and time again how the conservative or Brexit guy gets to say his piece and the Labour/SNP guy gets a wee whine at the end. Its every day, its constant, the media is not there to inform but to manipulate.

Brexit may well be here soon, but it will be a far cry from delivering the will of the people. If you believe that cheating, lying and breaking the law in order to get Brexit delivered against a narrowly won advisory referendum is right then you might want to take a long hard look at yourself.
