Congratulations to the Stirling and District Schools Pipe Band, who once again had a very strong showing at the World Pipe Band Championships at Glasgow Green on Friday, August 14.

A special mention to our Stirling High School pipers and drummers: Lewis Cook, Lewis Mackay, Matthew Kane, Callum Nellist and Josh Rodger.

🏆✅ Young pipers and drummers from Stirling have cemented themselves as among the best in the world after a strong showing at the World Pipe Band Championships.

The Stirling and District Schools Pipe Band secured 2nd prize in their category (Novice B Juvenile) at the event in Glasgow Green on Friday (14 August).

They also scooped up the Champion of Champions Trophy for the best juvenile Novice B band of the season following an excellent string of results including 3rd place finishes at British and European Championships and 1st place in the Scottish Championships.

We were delighted to welcome our pupils back to school this morning, and would like to thank all parents and carers for their support in ensuring an exceptionally high standard of uniform.

As a reminder, the drop-off and pick-up area at the front of the school is strictly reserved for the school bus and taxis only. All parents and carers are kindly asked to drop off and pick up using the marked bays at the back of the school. Please do not double-park at the front.

There were a number of near misses at the front of the school before the summer break, and the safety of our pupils entering and leaving the grounds is paramount. Your continued cooperation is greatly appreciated.

Tomorrow's Sports Day has been moved to the morning as a result of the expected warm temperatures in the afternoon. New timings have been published to year group Google classrooms.

All pupils are encouraged to come to school wearing house colours and should remember sunscreen, refillable water bottles and hats.
