GCSE Results Day at Barclay Academy!

We’re incredibly proud to celebrate another excellent set of GCSE results with our Year 11 students!

A huge congratulations to Andrew, who achieved an incredible 10 Grade 9s, alongside Subana with six Grade 9s and three Grade 8s, and Charlotte, who achieved four Grade 9s, two Grade 8s and two Grade 7s.

We’re also celebrating fantastic results from Kimiya, Cameron and Anya, who have all achieved an impressive set of grades. Congratulations to the whole Class of 2026! Your hard work, determination and commitment have paid off, and we can’t wait to see what you achieve next.

We’re particularly delighted that so many students have chosen to continue their journey with us in the sixth form. Here’s to the next chapter!

Barclay Academy students are celebrating their best-ever A Level results!

We are incredibly proud of our students, whose hard work, resilience and determination have led to outstanding achievements and exciting next steps at top universities across the country.

⭐ Jiya achieved A*A*A and will study Management with Marketing at the University of Bath
⭐ Jo achieved AAA and will study Marketing at the University of Leeds
⭐ Matilde achieved AAA and will study Psychology at Queen Mary University of London
⭐ Scarlett achieved A*A*A* and will study Marketing at the University of Leeds
⭐ Chloe achieved A*AB and will study Architecture at the University of Sheffield
⭐ Aiden achieved ABB and will study Pharmacology at the University of Manchester
⭐ Sumit achieved AAB and will study Computer Science at Queen Mary University of London
⭐ Travis achieved ABB and will study Economics at the University of Exeter

A lovely way to the end of the year. Year 7 had their celebration assembly this morning. They celebrated achievements across all subjects, as well as attendance.

Well done Year 7 on a great first year at Barclay Academy.

Some students in Mrs Shearn's Year 8 classes have prepared and delivered a presentation based on a science topic of their choice.

The standard has been excellent! Worksheets, MWB tasks and even using 3,2,1 SET. Some budding teachers in Year 8!

Last week we celebrated the end of the year in TED talk club with a talk from one of our outgoing year 13s. Katie I. came back in to talk with our members about the realities of life in sixth form and how they start setting themselves up for success now! It was wonderful for all of us teachers to get to see one of our long-time members say goodbye like this and we are extremely proud.

Hopefully we'll see your child in our club next year!

Last week year 8 celebrated a great year with their Fun in the Sun event. Thank you to all who attended and enjoyed! We celebrated with picnics, games, and general fun.

Also, the students who got over 95% got the opportunity to throw wet sponges at their Learning Co-ordinator Mr Boyle, note to him for next year would be to pack a change of clothes!

Finally, congratulations to Adelle W for her winning entry into our bake-off competition, we look forward to seeing everyone again next year!
