Longmeadow is a large primary school but we pride ourselves on being a large school with a small school ethos where every child really does matter. We expect our children to always try their best so that they may gain the maximum advantage from their time with us. We help the children develop confidence in their own abilities, understand what they are aiming to achieve, and celebrate their achieve

ments. We expect high standards of behaviour and develop the children’s understanding that they are responsible for their behaviour choices, helping them to gain a sense of respect for themselves, others and for property. We are all on the same side in wanting what is best for the children. We ask that you support and encourage your child to help them to learn effectively. We ask that you support the school by getting your child to school on time and in a condition to learn. We will do our very best to provide your child with the best quality experiences while they are in our care.

On Friday, a few lucky Year 5 pupils, who's team won the mini police workshops, had an unforgettable reward trip to Stevenage Police Station! 🚓 They explored the station, learned about how officers keep our community safe, and even got a close-up look at police equipment and vehicles. The children asked fantastic questions and showed great curiosity and respect throughout the visit. A big thank you to the officers for such an engaging and inspiring experience!

This week our EYFS received a very exciting delivery of eggs! We have been learning about life cycles including chickens. We were very fortunate enough to watch some of the chicks' hatch from their eggs. We even got to hold them, they felt so fluffy!
