🎓Fly high, my little ones and dream big! "A million dreams for the world you're gonna make!"- a whole wide world that is waiting for you!
Our Gaduation Day was every bit as beautiful as it was emotional! ✨ With wonderful surprises, an exceptional magician 🪄🎩, beautiful presents 🎁, face painting 🎨, delicious food 🍽️, a delicious cake 🎂, music 🎶, dancing 💃🕺 and play, last Friday gave us memories that will stay in our hearts forever. ❤️
Parents and children, brothers and sisters, we could all feel our hearts beating a little faster as we shared the emotions of this very special day together. 🥹❤️
After spending two, and in some cases even three precious years under our wings, four of our children are leaving us to start school this year, and saying goodbye is incredibly difficult. Yet, alongside the sadness, there is so much pride. We have watched these little ones grow, blossom and flourish, and we know just how ready they are to follow their dreams, discover the world and achieve wonderful things on their journey through school and through life.
Last Friday was dedicated to them and to every single one of our children. We celebrated their achievements, their progress and their wonderful individual qualities, recognising each child for the incredible things they have accomplished. Every child had a moment to shine. ⭐ Every child felt special, loved and celebrated.
And, goodness… how beautiful and emotional it was! 🥹❤️
Children need to feel that we are there beside them. They need to know that they are seen, heard and loved. They need to understand that every stage of their childhood matters, that every little achievement is worth celebrating, and that they matter, deeply and wonderfully, to their families, their friends and all the people who love them. ❤️
These little graduates will always have a special place in our hearts. 🎓❤️ We may be saying goodbye to this chapter, but we know their beautiful journeys are only just beginning.
A huge thank you to the fantastic girls on my team, but also to the magical hands that helped complete the perfect picture of this special day: Costea Iulica for the beautiful balloon decorations 🎈and Ana-Maria Serban for the wonderful face painting that made our children’s faces light up with happiness! 🎨✨❤️

✨ Role Play: Where Learning Comes to Life! ✨

A carefully planned role-play experience is one of the most powerful ways to assess and develop children's learning across all seven areas of the EYFS curriculum and the best part? The children simply think they're having fun!

This week, our Hairdressers role-play became the children's favourite place to learn, create, communicate and imagine. We couldn't be prouder of their incredible bilingual communication, social confidence, emotional maturity and problem-solving skills, all of which shone through naturally during their play.

💛 What makes role play so valuable?

• Adults model first, children lead later. We introduce new knowledge through playful interactions, then step back and watch the children confidently continue the learning independently with their peers.

• Independent, sustained and purposeful play is one of the strongest indicators that meaningful teaching has taken place. Our Hair Salon remained fully engaged for three consecutive days! 🥰

• Every resource has a purpose. We carefully extend children's thinking by ensuring every object becomes a tool for learning something new.

• Role play is the perfect environment for learning manners. Polite greetings, taking turns, making appointments, thanking customers and respectful conversations all become meaningful because children use them for a real purpose.

• Communication, empathy and kindness flourish naturally. The children listened carefully to one another, respected each other's ideas, praised one another's work and even left "customer reviews" using emoji stamps and kind comments about the salon services!

✨ How our Hair Salon covered all seven areas of learning:

🔢 Mathematics
• Using the till to calculate totals (e.g. Haircut + Wash + Blow Dry = £25).
• Exploring addition through real-life situations.
• Using coins and banknotes to develop an understanding of money and value.

📚 Literacy
• Rich print throughout the salon introduced new vocabulary and encouraged letter recognition and phonics awareness.
• Children completed appointment forms using ticks, practised writing their own names and their friends' names, and wrote numbers on receipts.
• Many of our children confidently recognised letter sounds and enjoyed reading simple CVC words.

✋ Physical Development (Fine Motor Skills)
• Opening bottles and containers.
• Using clips, hairbands, rollers, brushes and accessories.
• Folding towels, styling wigs and manipulating a wide variety of tools that strengthen finger muscles and hand control.

💬 Communication and Language
• Learning new vocabulary related to the hairdresser's salon.
• Building conversations between customers and stylists.
• Listening carefully, following instructions and developing confident bilingual communication.

🌍 Understanding the World
• Exploring different occupations and understanding the important role hairdressers play in our community.
• Learning about personal hygiene and how we care for our hair and bodies to stay healthy.
• Discovering that people have different hair types, colours, styles and cultural preferences, while learning to appreciate and respect diversity.

🎨 Expressive Arts and Design
• Using imagination to create unique hairstyles and role-play different characters.
• Making creative choices about colours, hairstyles and accessories.
• Expressing ideas through pretend play, storytelling and collaborative imaginative scenarios.

❤️ Personal, Social and Emotional Development
• Developing confidence by taking on different roles and responsibilities.
• Learning to cooperate, negotiate, solve problems and take turns with friends.
• Building empathy by caring for customers, recognising their feelings and responding with kindness and encouragement.
• Celebrating each other's achievements through praise, positive feedback and teamwork.

This is how we kept cool during the recent heatwave! ☀️
Most nurseries and schools reduced their hours or closed altogether and, honestly, we probably would have done the same if we didn’t have our paddling pools every day, unlimited access to the water spray hose, freshly squeezed orange juice and homemade lemonade, plus our much-loved homemade sugar-free ice cream.
The children absolutely loved it! It felt just like a summer holiday!

We are now in the third year of witnessing the fascinating metamorphosis of caterpillars into butterflies. The children have observed the real-life butterfly life cycle and discovered the wonders of its existence and that of its young, the caterpillars, through stories, songs, role-play and mathematical games, as well as a wide variety of arts and crafts activities.

✨️We are special, we are unique, and only those who are part of our family truly know the magic we share.

🤍Children are my world, my purpose, and my calling; this is what I have felt deep in my heart for as long as I can remember and they fill my life with meaning and fulfilment.
🙏 My greatest wish is to create a childhood of blessings for children, because their first years of life are the most important. With us, not only are the children happy, but the parents too. Together, we grow like one united family, most of them having been part of our journey for more than two years already, with younger siblings soon ready to begin their own adventure with us.

It has been a few months since our last post, yet the experiences we have lived together feel like years filled with memories: from our traditional Christmas celebration, countless outings and adventures, seasonal, religious and interest-led celebrations inspired by the children themselves, our special birthday parties, to the unforgettable everyday moments filled with discoveries and little life lessons.

This is how we learn to grow beautifully- confident, independent, kind and happy.
