Tomorrow in the Butterfly Room we are using the tweezers to pick up the sorting animals.

Lots of learning happening here:
-building the muscles in their hands as they squeeze the tweezers
- recognising and using colour and number names.
- putting a number to a quantity
-sorting into either number, colour or type of animal.

Last week the Butterfly children shared the story ‘The Selfish Crocodile’. The story was about a crocodile who had a tooth ache. It gave us the opportunity to discuss the role of a dentist and look at how we brush our teeth.
Lots of other learning took place including learning our letter sounds and developing our pencil control.
