Hope you’re all enjoying the beginnings of the Summer holidays 😎
Just to say a really big thank you to all our children & parents who have supported us this year. The leavers parties were amazing and we wish the children all the very best in their new nurseries .A thank you from all our staff for the kind gifts and messages- totally not expected but much appreciated- 🥰

How you all doing in this heat ….?🥵😎
Today we have been minimising our time in & out- no playing on the pavement -too hot! 🔥
The children have all been great wearing their hats 🧢 & playing under the shade of the trees 🌳 - making mud pies,bathing the babies & taking regular water breaks from our hydration station & with an ice pop 🍡to cool us down !
We made it through the week!- last day on Monday & for those leaving us for Nursery we have our leavers party on Tuesday 😍🎉

This week at pre-school we are looking & learning about ‘Rainforests and their habitats’. Looking at the wildlife that we might find and will be making our own binoculars to go exploring as part of our holiday/world topic!
We will also be talking to the children about transitioning to Nursery school and making our visits, about how they are feeling , what are they looking forward to or worried about, we will be looking at the uniforms they might wear and what they will be doing. If you could support us by talking to your children about going to Nursery that would be great!
A reminder that this is our last full week and our last pre-school day is Monday 13th July -another year has gone so quickly 😳

A big well done to all our children, today was a very hot day. We are very proud of you all for adapting to the new routine we have put in place to keep you all as safe as possible in this heat. We would also like to say a big thank you to all our staff who worked through the heat still providing children with the best care.

The children coped very well in the heat today- as this weather continues please be reminded to bring in named- water bottles, sun hats & apply suncream before arrival.
Please also ensure that children are in appropriate footwear (socks with sandals)…..

We sang & played guitar around our ‘camp fire’- we camped in our tent⛺️
We caught fish (not Nessie though), we tried Scottish Shortbread & made cards for our Dads & loved ones 💙🥰

Important notice about Pre-school this week

We have been asked by a few parents if we are open for the rest of the week due to the heat. The answer is yes we are open but fully understand if parents want to keep their children at home. If your child is coming to pre-school please remember

Sun cream needs to put on before the children come to pre-school.
All children need to bring in a clearly named sun hat.
All children need to bring in a clearly named water bottle filled with water only (no flavoured water or juice -due to allergies)

Just a little update on donations of clothing.
We are so grateful for those of you that donated spare clothing to us and we are fully stocked for the time being - so thank you!
However, if anyone has any socks 🧦 that they no longer need this is the only item that we are lacking - again thank you for your support 🥰
