About us:
Les Tout-Petits an exclusive, private childcare setting, run by qualified childminders. We provide an outstanding level of care for children aged from 6 weeks plus French and dance lessons on-site. We also pride ourselves on providing a unique level of support to working parents.
Located in an urban setting, equidistant from Stevenage Old Town, Lister Hospital and the A1(M), we have our own purpose-built building and outdoor area. We also back on to a huge field which is great for tiny explorers!
We wanted to open a setting which provided the warmth, flexibility and 1:1 personal relationships offered by childminders, combined with the structure, routine and educational advantages offered by a nursery. As such we maintain very small adult to child ratios to ensure that all of the children receive lots of one on one care and interaction as we believe that this ensures each child feels loved, cared for and safe.
We have 'Kidslingo Frenchtastic' visiting once a week to provide fun french sessions for all ages. We also have a qualified in-house dance instructor providing dance classes for the children.
Delicious, healthy, home made meals prepared on site, are served to the children daily, offering a great variety of tastes and textures to explore. Also the children enjoy and participate in regular cooking activities with us.
We recognise that every child is unique and has individual needs, so our highly qualified and experienced staff ensure that each child is nurtured and every day is special, enabling them to grow and learn.
All staff work within the Early Years Foundation Stage, ensuring that each child is given the opportunity to reach their full potential. Parents are given the opportunity to follow and participate in their child's learning journey. Each child is allocated a folder and a learning journal to track their development at every stage.
Ensuring we are a home from home is vitally important to us as it is our goal to provide an excellent academic foundation within a warm and nurturing setting. We aim to provide the best possible environment, tailored to each child’s individual requirements.
We welcome children from the age of 6 weeks onwards.
We are open Monday to Thursday all year round with the exception of Public and Bank Holidays and one week over the Christmas / New Year period.
We can also provide an out of hours baby sitting service plus overnight and weekend care on request.
