Thank you to everyone for your concern we can confirm that Affinity water are on site and the problem is with residential pipe work located near to the school. We hope this will be fixed as soon as possible.

Congratulations to all of our students receiving their exam results today! 🎉

We are incredibly proud of the hard work, determination and resilience shown by every student throughout their studies. Their achievements reflect not only their commitment but also the support of families, staff and the wider school community.

This year, schools across Stevenage are celebrating the successes of individual students rather than publishing overall statistics. At Barnwell School, we are delighted to recognise the outstanding achievements of our highest-performing students, whose results include exceptional grades across a range of qualifications.

Today is a celebration of all that our students have accomplished and the exciting opportunities that now lie ahead. Whether they are continuing their studies, embarking on apprenticeships, or moving into employment, we wish them every success for the future.

On Thursday 16 July, we celebrated our Culture and Heritage Day, a celebration of the many cultures, traditions and backgrounds represented within our school community.

This is a valuable opportunity for students to learn about, appreciate and celebrate cultures different from their own, while also taking pride in their own heritage. Thank you to all the parents and families that supported with this day and Misya Old Town for the food donations!

Barnwell school is delighted to announce more international success for our amazing students. Huge congratulations to Erin on an incredible international achievement!

Erin recently travelled to Tampa, Florida, to compete at the Varsity Youth Summit Championship – the most prestigious youth cheerleading competition in the world.

Competing against more than 120 All Star cheer teams from across the globe, Erin and her team delivered an outstanding zero-deduction routine, leaving the floor absolutely delighted with their performance. Their hard work and dedication earned them an impressive 21st place in their subdivision.

We are incredibly proud of Erin for representing both her cheer club (Aylesbury Cheerleading Academy) and her country on the world stage. Her commitment, resilience and talent are an inspiration to our school community.

Congratulations, Erin – what an amazing achievement! We can't wait to see what you accomplish next. 🇬🇧✨

International Success for Barnwell Students!

A huge congratulations to Destyni and Ciara, who recently represented their Hertfordshire roller speed skating team in the prestigious 24-hour relay race at the Le Mans circuit in France.

Competing alongside three teammates against 24 teams from around the world (120 skaters in total), the team achieved an impressive 10th place overall, covering an incredible 142.29 kilometres!

Special congratulations to Ciara, who recorded the fastest full lap time for the team, completing the 4.185km circuit in just 9 minutes 18.5 seconds. She also had the honour of both starting and finishing the race for her team.

And an outstanding achievement for Destyni, who was selected to compete in the 300m sprint qualifier and set a time of 31.38 seconds, breaking yet another British Record for the distance!

We are incredibly proud of both students for their dedication, determination and sporting excellence on the international stage. What an amazing achievement – well done, girls!

That's a wrap for Songwriting Club this year!

As we come to the end of another fantastic year, we'd like to thank all of the talented students who have shared their creativity, passion and original music with us. It has been wonderful to see ideas grow into songs and confidence flourish through every session. A big thank you also goes to Mr. Watson for all his hard work and support for this club.

Today we say goodbye for the summer, but don't worry – Songwriting Club will be back next year, ready for more music, creativity and some great performances!
