💚 Hexton update 💚

We have only gone and got flooring finished upstairs! This is the first time that my image of whay i wantes has come alive.

And I love it! Obviously needs more love, positivity etc but table and chairs going into a decorated and floored room is MAGIC!!!!

From September we are going to be able to offer more class space, small group sessions and basic cooking skills through Paul Lavery Support.

💜💚 End of year not end of work 💚💜

In a blink of an eye an academic year is over! But like the title the work isn't.

A massive thankyou to the PLS and PE team for all they have done, all they do and all they will bring to the table. Without you there is no service, Louise mason has taken control and steered the ship well and everyone made it to the other side haha

After a few days of rest and reflecting myself and louise will be reflecting together about how the year has gone, what went well and what we can improve.

We want to grow our offer and always keep pushing forward.

We are always looking at how we can do better so that our amazing young people can benefit from our service in the best way possible.

I wish all my educational colleagues a restful break and celebrate my social care colleagues who like us will continue through the break and to everyone be nice, be safe and be happy 💜💚💚💜

Outdoor works continue, but important news ....

I have done maunal labour 🔥🏆🔥

For 45 minutes I used a jackhammer to break out all this uneven and damaged concrete ready for our builder Patrick Shepherd to build a safe and sturdy deck leading to a chill area for our young people.

Im not saying I should get praise and a medal but can I get some praise and medal pplleeaasseeeeeeeee 😎🤣😎🤣

💚🥳 Proud moment 🥳💚

At Paul Lavery Support we offer a wide variety of packages to help our young people learn and grow in a way thats right for them.

A 14 year old young man said he wanted to learn how to cook with us in September so we paid for him to do his food hygiene course and he passed with flying colours.

It's not about what we want for him its about what he wants for him and we do our best to make it happen.

We now have a very happy chappy!!

Positive expressions has 4 learner kitchens downstairs, a staff island for demos and teaching and another side kitchen for storage and drinks.......

Paul Lavery Support upstairs almost has its own kitchen finished!!

We will be offering food hygiene and cookery skills as part of our packages from September. Ages 5-25!!

💚 💥 Amazing news 💥 💚

I am very proud to share that we are a disability confident employer!!

We have been working with Anne Tinker from Hertfordshire Futures at Hertfordshire County Council and she was impressed with our morality, ethics and professional practices.

It is standard for us to make adjustments for interviews, adjustments for people in the work place, check in on peoples well being. We celebrate the diversity out there and know that ultimately will always benefit the children and young people we support. Representation matters!

This certificate really shows that we are trying to be the best versions of ourselves we can be. Our goal is to be better than we were yesterday and that never stops!!
