💐 MOTHER'S DAY PRSENT ROOM💐​​

We're pleased to announce that Mother's Day Present Room is taking place again this year. FOAH volunteers have been busy behind the scenes and we have even more gifts for the children to choose from this year than last time. Please go to the School Shop area of Arbor to place your orders!

📣 Pre orders for our World Book Day (WBD) Bars are NOW OPEN!* 📣
You can place your order via the Arbor School Shop until 12.30pm on Tuesday 3rd March.
Please pre order if you can — it’s a huge help to FOAH and lets them know how many bars to buy.
🍫 Price: £1 per bar
Free from options available
Important: There are two separate payments on Arbor, so please check carefully and select the one(s) your child would like. There’s no limit to how many bars you can order!
Younger siblings: As this event isn’t running at Letchmore this year, you’re welcome to buy bars for younger siblings too.
⭐ Buying Bars on the Day
FOAH volunteers will be running a stall after school, so parents/carers can buy bars then as well — but pre ordering really helps us make sure no one is disappointed!
✨ Sparkly Tickets – Prize Collection
If your child finds a winning sparkly ticket, they can collect their physical prize straight after school from the FOAH stall.
If a prize isn’t collected on the day, families can contact the school office to arrange a time.
Children can keep their golden ticket as a memento — we’ll just mark the back once the prize has been collected.
*The winning chocolate bar name will be revealed in Friday’s assembly… we’re keeping it under wraps until then! 📚✨

🏆 WRITING AWARDS 🏆

For the first three weeks of term, the whole school worked on a writing project based on the beautiful picture book It Fell From The Sky.

The project ended last week with a special writing awards evening held at the Broadway Cinema in Letchworth. Eighteen other schools who also took part in the project attended the event, with proud parents watching.

We were delighted to see pupils from Almond Hill receiving awards for endeavour and progress. One pupil from each year group was also nominated for the ‘Best Writer’ award.

Well done to all the pupils who were shortlisted, and a special congratulations to Eva in Year 6, who was voted Best Writer for Year 6 by a panel of judges 🌟

As part of the project, our pupils also created some amazing artwork based on the book. Well done to the winners, who received their prizes in our celebration assembly.
