What a fantastic time we’ve had during our Hawaiian Theme Week! 🌊☀️

The children have had lots of fun taking part in Hawaiian-themed activities, getting creative, exploring and learning through play. We finished off the fun with a brilliant Hawaiian Dress-Up Day, and everyone looked amazing! 🌺🍍🌴

There have been plenty of smiles, laughter and tropical fun throughout the week. Mahalo to everyone who joined in and helped make it such a special week! 💕🌈

Even though the warm weather meant our Sports Day looked a little different this year, our children still had an amazing time!

The children loved showing off their running skills as they took part in fun races with their friends. They were surrounded by lots of cheering and encouragement from the other children and the nursery team, making it a day full of excitement, confidence, and plenty of proud moments.

We are incredibly proud of all of our children for joining in with such enthusiasm and showing fantastic determination. What a wonderful day full of fun, teamwork, and memorable moments! 🏃🌞🎉

National Baby-Led Weaning Day 💛

Baby-led weaning gives children the opportunity to explore food independently, helping to build confidence, support fine motor development and encourage a positive relationship with food from the very start.

We know that every family's weaning journey is different. That's why we take time during the settling-in process to understand each family's preferences and chosen approach. Whether parents opt for baby-led weaning, purées or a combination of both, it's always led by parental choice, with our nursery teams there to provide support every step of the way.

Through close partnerships with families, we create positive mealtime experiences where children can safely explore a variety of tastes and textures at their own pace. As they do, they're developing independence, self-confidence and important skills that support their wider learning and development.

🐟💙 Pond Time at Nursery 💙🐟

Today, the children enjoyed spending time by our pond, watching the fish swim and talking about how we can look after them.

We discussed the importance of being kind and gentle towards animals and learned about how the fish rely on us to help keep their home clean and safe. The children showed great curiosity as they observed the fish and shared their ideas about caring for them and others around us.

It was a lovely opportunity to encourage kindness, respect, and an understanding of the world around us. 🌿🐟

💦🎨 Water Play Fun Today! 🎨💦

Today, the children explored colour mixing, learning about different colours, and discovered what happened when colours were combined.

Using jugs and pipettes, the children practised pouring, squeezing, and transferring water, helping to develop their fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination while having lots of fun.

It was wonderful to see the children learning through play, exploring, and building their confidence throughout the activity. 🌈💧
