Jellybeans Child Care I'm a childminder with 16 years child care experience & I'm a Mum. I provide flexible home from home care for your little ones whilst you are busy.

I provide a loving home environment for your little ones. I am a Mum to two boys, aged 9 and 1. We share our home with my husband, Mr Jellybeans and our pet cat. We are very lucky to live within walking distance of Poolsbrook Country Park, The Trans-Pennine Trail, Ringwood Park, Chesterfield Canal Staveley Basin, Staveley Healthy Living Centre, Staveley Library and Children's Centre. at places to play, have fun and learn. We also travel further afield to explore. Recent outings have included Sherwood Forest to find out about Robin Hood, Cleethorpes to enjoy a day by the sea, Hardwick Hall to be Princesses and Knights, and even a 'Bogtastic' day at the Longshaw Estate to discover some Peak wildlife. At home we sing, dance, read, build models, paint, cook, enjoy messy play, experience gardening in the vegetable patch and flower beds...the list goes on! I aim to fill ever day with fun, adventures, laughter and explorations. Through these we learn without ever realising that it's happening.

We would like to wish all families, past and present a happy New year. We would like to thank them for all their support over the years. As of February 2019 we will be closing our doors for the final time. The littlest jellybean is now happy and settled in a preschool setting and the time has come for me to return to early years / special needs teaching. These past few years have been full of fun and adventures and will be a very special part of our lives that we will trwasure. Thank you all for support over the years đź‘Ź

Happy New Year Everyone! What a busy start to the year we have had. Here are some of our best bits! Soft play at Oceans of Fun, a cafe visit to the Staveley Centre after a chilly winter walk, winter shape printing and a fun day at Clumber Park. Looks like 2018 is going to be a busy year.

This week we have been thinking about poppies and Rememberance Day. We made a poppy display and watched "Poppies" on CBeebies. It is a very gentle introduction to Remembrance Day for toddlers. If you get a chance do watch it, the music and animation are beautiful.

Today we had a very special treat. We had a canal cruise on the beautiful Madeline. She sails from Hollingwood Hub and is run by the Chesterfield Canal Trust. If you are free on a Wednesday or Saturday during the school holidays, it is well worth a visit!

We are SO lucky to live near the Transpennine Trail and Poolsbrook Country Park. We enjoyed a lovely walk down the trail to the park where we played and had a picnic. A perfect summer day!
