Please ensure your child comes to school in their PE shorts and trainers. If they can wear a top in their team colour, that would be amazing. All children will need a refillable drinks bottle with them, sun cream already applied and a sun hat.

If you could pass on one message to the younger generation to inspire them to be ambitious, what would it be?

I had the privilege to be asked to today to support their ambitions week.

We spoke about the importance of having role models who you can aspire to be like. The fact that, in its simplest terms, you have only 3 things within your control - your mind, your words and your actions. Ultimately, you are the only person that is going to achieve the goals you set out to achieve. Finally, we spoke about having a support network around you who can help you and keep you accountable.

I really enjoyed all the questions that the pupils asked and getting them to think about how they might be able to break bigger goals into smaller, daily actions that will help them achieve those goals.

I've come away feeling energised and hopeful that the pupils I was lucky enough to speak to, might achieve some amazing things in their lives. 🥋
