What an achievement in such a short time!

📣We had some fantastic results at the Anglia in Bloom Awards, which were announced yesterday. The village once again picked up a Silver Gilt award, Stansted Mountfitchet Social Club earned a Gold in the Public House category👏, while both TouchPoint's garden and HUMAN ROOTS allotment were praised by judges for being a "credit for sustainable growing and finding innovative ways to combat different problems."👏👏 However the star of the village entry this year must go to Bentfield Primary School. Their community allotment at Walpole Meadows was judged to be the Best Young People's Project.👏👏👏 Lots of hard work from pupils and staff have turned what amounted to little more than a barren patch of earth when the developer handed over the allotment site in March, six months on into a veritable Eden - producing a harvest of tomatoes, gooseberries, butter nut squash, pumpkins, apples and beetroot! A tremendous achievement.😀👏
