🌈 Colour Run 🌈

What a lovely morning at our Colour Run! 🎉

It was amazing to see all of the children having fun together, laughing, running and getting covered in colour. The atmosphere was fantastic from start to finish, with everyone throwing themselves into the event and making the most of the morning. 😊

A huge thank you to the School Sports Partnership for organising such a brilliant activity. The children were an absolute credit to the school and looked spectacular by the end! 🌈✨

What a wonderful way to spend the morning! 👏

The hot weather is set to continue this week 😁

School PE Kits and summer dresses are the way forward. Black shorts and white polos may be worn but this is NOT a non uniform choice, if opting for PE Kit children should wear black shorts and a plain red t-shirt.

P.S. don't forget your hats and water bottles.

Suncream should be applied before school and sent to school in bags to be topped up through the day.

We will keep classrooms as cool as possible by keeping blinds closed and doors open.

We will be monitoring conditions and this may mean shorter outdoor breaks and a quick trip to Tesco for icepops!

If you are lucky enough to be working in an air condition unit, spare a cooling thought for us!

What a fantastic workshop!

Fourteen of our children attended and had a wonderful time learning new skills, working together and taking part in lots of exciting activities.

The children especially enjoyed performing in a mini concert for all of our hard-working staff in the Connect offices, showcasing everything they had learned with confidence and enthusiasm.

Best of all, the workshop was free of charge thanks to funding from the Sir Tom Cowie Trust.

A huge thank you to our amazing tutors for their support, encouragement and expertise throughout the session.

You made the experience fun, engaging and inspiring for everyone involved! 👏😊🎶

🏆 Weekly Certificates 🏆

Another great celebration assembly today! 🌟

We handed out certificates for ClassDojo, maths, reading, PE and behaviour, as well as celebrating some fantastic achievements on Lexia and TTRS. 📚🔢

Our Year 6 winners weren't able to be in the photos this week as they were out at Durham Cricket and brass activities, but their achievements were still recognised. 🏏🎺

Well done to all of this week's winners – keep up the brilliant work! 👏

NDA are having a Summer BBQ hosted by Chartwells.
They would love you to join them, with your families, especially those transferring to NDA in September.

We have had a lovely time exploring the Nursery and Reception garden with the children in Early Years. we love Toddler sessions each week. Come and join us!

🏅 Sports Day Reminder 🏅

A reminder that our Year 1–6 Sports Day will take place next Friday.

The event will begin at 1:15pm and finish at approximately 3:00pm.

Parents and families are welcome to come along and support the children as they take part in the afternoon's activities. 🏃☀️

All children should come to school in their PE kit on the day.

There will also be some refreshments available to purchase during the afternoon. 🍰☕

And for those feeling competitive, there will be a parent race too! If you'd like to take part, make sure you come in your sprinting gear and are ready for the challenge! 😄🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️
