❗️Year 11 parents/carers ❗️

We are putting together a leavers video for our Year 11 students which will be shown to them on their last day. If you have any photos of their first days at school (Primary or Tanfield School) could you please send them in to [email protected] so we can collate them into a little leavers gift in order to thank them for all the hard work that they have put in over the last 5 years. Thank you very much for all of the photos that we have been sent. They are excellent and a great way for us to give the year 11s a send off that their years of effort and application deserve. There is still time to send us photos if you haven't already done so. As a way of confirming that your photo has been added to the collection, you will receive reply via email so if you have sent it and not received a reply, please try again.

Future Business Magnates: Challenge 2 Beamish Museum

On Thursday the 14th May the Future Business Magnate students participated in challenge 5 of the competition at Beamish Museum.

Students showcased their product prototype, an educational card game entitled “This or That?” which celebrates the heritage of County Durham - “compete against your rivals and let your knowledge thrive!” The card game is aimed at individuals of primary school age and upwards.

The students interacted with members of the public visiting Beamish Museum as well as family members. It was a great opportunity to develop their communication skills, explaining their product, their concept and rationale behind its development. The students grew in confidence as the day progressed and it was fantastic to see them so engaged. The team were able to gather vital feedback on whether potential customers would buy their product, at the price set and to gauge the interest and viability of their idea.

If you would like to support our students in voting for their business idea This or That please use the link below.
