Help with buying items for school - Durham County Council The cost of school uniforms can be a struggle for families. Many schools now allow you to buy cheaper, unbranded uniform items, or offer uniform swaps. Please check with your school what they offer.

There is a 5 item limit per child, just select the items you want and take them to the till.

Important Summer Message

In assembly, the children have been learning about water safety through the Float to Live and Phone, Float, Throw messages.

They learned that if they unexpectedly find themselves in deep water, they should try to stay calm, float on their back with their arms and legs spread out, and control their breathing until help arrives.

They also learned that if they see someone else in difficulty, they should call 999, encourage the person to float, and throw something that floats to help them – but never enter the water themselves.

This is a particularly important message as we approach the summer holidays, when more families spend time near water.

These simple actions could help save a life.

Today we say goodbye to our amazing Year 6 children. We are all so very proud of everything you have achieved during your time at Stanley Juniors and we will miss you all. Be kind, be curious and never stop believing in yourselves. Good luck - we know your future is bright! ⭐️⭐️⭐️

What a brilliant day our year 5 debate team had yesterday at County Durham Youth Council’s ‘The Big Debate’. They also made history as they were the final group of children to take part in this event in the council chambers at County Hall before its permanent closure next month.

Well done boys and girls (and thanks to Mrs Stephenson for taking them) ⭐️ See if you can spot them here…

A superb trip to Durham Cathedral for our year 4 pupils today. Our learning was about the Northern Saints and pilgrimage. Well done Y4…superb behaviour and attitude…you always make us proud.
