To all the children starting school this week!

Just want to pop a message on to all of our families who have little ones going off to big school. Thank you so much for all of your support over the years, I know some of you have been with us since just after we opened and some are even families from my Childminding days!

Honestly I appreciate you all so much for standing by us during all the challenges, changes, moving, expanding, building work and we really couldn’t have done it all with you by our side.

I always said I wanted Rose Buddies to be more than just a nursery, it’s a community and a support network. As we all know parenting isn’t easy and having that system around us is so valuable. I really feel that we have succeeded in that and seeing your little ones flourish and ready for big school is all the evidence we need.

We have grown from 20 children over the week to 78! An amazing achievement and special thanks to our amazing staff who give your children the most amazing early learning experience.

This is the most we have ever had going to school, 24!!! So emotional saying goodbye but know that they are more than ready and they will always be part of the Rose Buddies family. Please send us a photo of their first day of school and don’t be a stranger! We always welcome visits! ###

🌹 Nursery Apprentice 🌹

We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard working person to learn how to provide high-quality education and care for children aged 0-5, implementing the EYFS framework through play-based activities.

You will be trained to undertake the following Responsibilities and Duties
-Key Person Role: Build positive relationships with a assigned group of children, tracking their development, and acting as the main point of contact for parents.
-EYFS Planning & Implementation: Plan, lead, and evaluate stimulating, play-based activities tailored to individual child needs, covering all areas of the EYFS curriculum.
-Observation & Assessment: Observe, assess, and monitor children's progress, keeping accurate, up-to-date developmental records.
-Health & Safety: Maintain a safe, clean, and secure environment, ensuring all health, safety, and child protection procedures (including safeguarding) are strictly followed.
-Partnership with Parents: Engage with families to support their child's learning and development at home, providing regular updates on progress.
-Inclusive Practice: Support children with diverse needs, including SEND and EAL, ensuring equal opportunities for all.
-Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive, nurturing, and stimulating, enabling environment.

Alongside internal training you will attend monthly teams meeting with a tutor who will help you work towards your Level 3 in Childcare. They will also come into the setting to assess your practice. This is the same qualification that can be gained in college, however you will work alongside this and earn a wage.

We ensure that our employees are well trained and always given opportunities to further their professional development with opportunities to progress to deputy manager or SENCO available for the right candidate.

Nursery opening times are Monday - Friday 7am - 7pm and shift patters vary based on a weekly Rota.

Are you an experienced Early Years Practitioner looking for the next step in your career?

We are seeking a passionate and motivated Early Years Trainee Room-Based Deputy Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Level 3 qualified practitioner who is ready to develop their leadership skills while continuing to have a positive impact on children’s learning, development and wellbeing.

Working alongside the Nursery Manager and wider leadership team, you will gain valuable experience in supporting the day-to-day operation of the setting, leading practice, mentoring colleagues and maintaining high standards of care and education.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about Early Years, enjoys supporting others and is looking to progress into a leadership position within the sector.

The Role Includes:

Supporting the Nursery Manager and Deputy Manager with the effective running of the setting.

Taking an active role within a nursery room while developing leadership responsibilities.

Supporting and mentoring Early Years Practitioners to deliver high-quality practice.

Acting as a positive role model and promoting excellent standards of care and education.

Supporting the implementation of the EYFS framework and the nursery curriculum.

Helping to monitor children’s development, observations and assessments.

Supporting the identification of children’s individual needs and ensuring inclusive practice.

Assisting with staff deployment, routines and maintaining effective room organisation.

Supporting safeguarding practice and ensuring policies and procedures are followed.

Contributing to quality improvement, reflective practice and continuous development within the setting.

Building strong relationships with children, families and colleagues.

Skills needed We Are Looking For Someone Who: Holds a recognised Level 3 Early Years qualification or above. Has experience working within an Early Years setting. Is passionate about children’s learning, development and wellbeing. Has the confidence and ambition to develop leadership skills. Can support and motivate colleagues positively. Has a good understanding of the EYFS framework, child development and safeguarding. Is organised, reliable and able to use initiative. Is committed to their own professional development and progression.
