Blooming Babies Day Nursery Limited

February is a busy month, so we have started making our Valentine cards.
Each child decorated their card and mark maked inside them.

Each one was unique to each child

We were kindly gifted some bulbs and pots to grow some flowers.
We spoke to the children about how flowers can grow from bulbs or seeds and they need to be planted in soil and need watering. The children got involved by placing the bulbs into the soil and very gently placed the soil around each bulb.
We are doing a little experiment to see if the bulbs flower quicker by being in the shed outside or inside in a cupboard...Let's wait and see...

Today, we are making tree decorations using salt dough prepared by a member of staff and some children. The children are given a piece of dough and are instructed and role modelled to roll out. the child then chooses a cutter and presses it into the dough. some needed help, some didn't.
We will have to wait for the decorations to dry out and the children will then have the opportunity to paint them.

As Christmas is fast approaching we have started making Christmas cards with the children. As the cards are decorated we talk about Christmas and what it means to them. Each card is unique to each child.

Children In Need
To celebrate Children In Need we are making Pudsey masks.
The children painted Pudsey's face then used some wooden stampers to apply the spots.
The staff member spoke to the children about why we have Children In Need.

To celebrate Armistice day we made Poppies with the children. We spoke about the war and what the Poppy represents. The children chose their own colours.
