🌟 About the Role

This is a lovely role for a Deputy Nursery Manager position with a strong focus on being floor-based rather than office-based.

With the support of two experienced administrators handling the majority of paperwork, this role allows you to focus on what truly matters—leading practice and supporting children and staff.

Key responsibilities include:
• Supporting the day-to-day running of the nursery
• Coaching, mentoring, and supporting staff
• Observing children and team members to maintain high-quality practice
• Ensuring excellent standards of care, learning, and teaching
• Maintaining and promoting strong safeguarding practices

📌SEN Adult- no qualifications needed. But must have had experience working with children with SEN. Monday, Thursday & Friday 815am-430pm. Tuesday 745am-430pm & Wednesday 745am-330pm. Term time only. Based in our Preschool Room. ⭐️Start date 18th of May 26.⭐️

🧡Preschool Room Update🧡

Our oldest bunnies have had a jam packed few weeks.

From making drinks in the garden, chopping celery, drawing some beautiful pictures, using herbs for our play dough, building puzzles and towers, dressing up and practising early writing

💛Toddler Room update💛

Our toddlers have a had busy couple of weeks, enjoying splashing around in puddles outside, exploring our mud kitchen in the garden, also having fun with some of our outdoor equipment inside to burn off some energy on those super rainy days. In lower toddlers they made muddy puddle pictures, have had lots of Sensory play out, working on handling different textures and materials to improve and strengthen hand eye coordination and fine motor skills ✋🏼👀

From colour matching games, looking at artic animals (following an interest from one of the children) and making sensory balls using balloons and cornflour.

It’s been a busy couple of weeks for all of them. 💚

🤍BABY ROOM UPDATE🤍

Some photos over the last couple of weeks in our lovely baby room.

As it’s been quite chilly we have brought some of our outdoor resources in to still enable our little ones to have some gross motor play, the slide was a big hit!

Lots of sensory & messy play to, helps little ones explore new textures and materials. Supports fine motor & hand eye coordination tipping and pouring 🫟🎨🥄

On Monday we had our half termly staff meeting.

It was a very productive staff meeting, we spoke about an exciting accreditation that we are in the process of getting, how the last half term has been, how children are settling in, new staff that are joining us, we went through our safeguarding policy that we have updated and ran through some scenarios and quick fire questions to improve staff knowledge and CPD and as always we get the team to vote for the person we would like to give Employee of the Month too and this month we voted for Abbie.

Abbie only joined us back in September and she has slotted in amazingly with our nursery, her calm and nurturing ways with the children is lovely to see. She’s always bubbly and chatty with the children and has worked wonders settling in her new key children this term. Any staff that are picked for employee of the month get to choose a reward for winning and she won a £20 voucher 🥰

Bank staff- Looking for cover staff for our nursery, hours would be between 745am-530pm covering staff in our 4 rooms for training, holidays cover or sickness cover.

A great way to get your foot in the door if you want to go into childcare or get some experience.

Previous experience with children needed, preferably qualified level 2 onwards but not needed.
