Bramleys bears tiney home nursery

We visited a new gruffalo trail today and had such a lovely walk... slow but lovely 😂

It's the gruffalo birthday trail and it's very educational as the children have to look for numbers, natural objects, the signs have different information such as bird types and which seeds come from which tree.

We ended the walk with a well earned picnic and it was a wonderful morning in nature.

We're going on an Autumn hunt 🐿️🍂🌰

We went on a lovely walk through the woods this morning to see what autumn objects we could find. Armed with our hunt sheets from we found lots of objects and even a squirrel and some funny looking mushrooms... "they aren't mushrooms Hannah they are fairy flowers" 🍄🍄‍🟫

Rainy day activity 🧡

As it was really terrible weather yesterday, my middle bear decided to use the nature wand from in a different way by threading string and attaching other pieces to create a lovely autumnal bouquet indoors. I think she did a fantastic job and it kept her busy afterschool.

Hedgehogs 🦔

First up for our autumn animals this week, was hedgehogs. The little bears really enjoyed using forks instead of paintbrushes for this activity and they created some super spikey pictures! We talked about what these animals like to eat (bugs and worms) which the littles said was disgusting!

Animals 🦊🐭🦔🐿️

This week we are going to be learning about woodland animals and their habitats. What do they eat? Where do they live? What is their house called? And much more!

Puzzles

Adding a sensory base to this puzzle game meant the children had to hunt for the matching pieces, which was lots of fun.

Leaf art 🍂

The little bears had a creative morning decorating wooden leaves in autumn colours and stickers, they are beautiful and ready for our display.

Early maths 🧡🍂

This week I'm planning to put a strong emphasis on autumn and also maths skills. The little bears are all at different stages in their learning so I'm planning activities for everyone to enjoy.

Autumn playdough 🍁🧡

We made our own playdough last week and then got very creative with it, making leaves for our tree boards, animal tracks, and even leaf cakes using loose parts.

Giraffe feeding experience 🦒🧡

We visited with some friends this week and were lucky enough to take part in this amazing experience. The children all had a turn at feeding the giraffes and getting up close and personal to them!
