Representing Chorley Panthers at the Leeds Rhinos tournament, George stood out among 21 top teams with his determination and superb defensive play. His efforts earned him the prestigious “Player of Steel” award – an incredible achievement.

A true credit to himself and our school—well done, George!

Scotland Rugby League are proud to announce the U16s Home Nations squad!

Head coach Dan Gilroy has named the 22 players who will pull on the Scotland jersey.

Speaking about the selection, Gilly commented...

"Selecting a final squad of 22 from over 100 trialists has been incredibly difficult. Those who have attended the trials from across the UK have made it an almost impossible task, but we are pleased with our final decision and are confident the young men selected will represent our nation and the thistle on their chest with pride.

The squad contains several Scotland based players and it is pleasing to note that a record number of trialists from Scotland attended, demonstrating the growth in the game, which we hope continues."

The squad will now prepare for the first competitive outing, hosting England on Saturday 16th May, in a triple header also including the u17s and Students. The games will be played at our new home base, Hawick RFC with details to follow.

Rugby Success for Our Standish Stars!

Huge congratulations to our Year 9 and 10 players who represented LSH and the Bolton Amazons in the Lancashire Plate competition — with the Amazons U16s winning the final!

A brilliant achievement and well done everyone.

Fab Lab

Last week Fab Lab took advantage of the good weather and got out into the school to look for insects. Using pooters, we collected a whole variety of insects, from spiders to caterpillars.

Fab Lab is every Monday 3.15 - 4pm. Years 7 - 9 welcome.
