Reading is everywhere! ☀️

This summer, I've enjoyed all sorts of texts - from mystery stories and thrillers to travel guides, informative signs, recipes and wellbeing books.

When children see us reading for meaning, pleasure and relaxation, they learn that reading is something we do throughout everyday life. It is purposeful and something to enjoy 😊

I loved spending some time at this little area inside Queensgate Peterborough.

A huge well done for providing a dedicated reading area where individuals or groups can pause, relax and enjoy the benefits of a good book. 📖✨

Shopping centres can be busy, noisy and chaotic, so having a calm space where people can take a moment to sit down, breathe, read and reset is such a fantastic idea.

It’s wonderful to see a local shopping centre recognising that sometimes people need a space to pause, not just a place to shop. It can also benefit a local charity , too! ❤️

👏 Well done, Queensgate Shopping Centre. A simple but really meaningful initiative! 💚📖

One of the best parts of what we do is hearing it straight from the pupils, giving us an insight into the difference our sessions make💙

Seeing confidence grow, hearing pupils talk about their successes and knowing they feel supported reminds us why we love doing what we do.

Such a lovely time delivering a parent workshop all about the power of listening and how it supports early reading skills 📚✨

We explored lots of simple ways to weave valuable listening skills into daily life. It doesn’t have to be complicated to make a big impact.

It was wonderful to connect with local educators and families to share ideas. Working together makes such a difference and these shared conversations are at the heart of building confident, capable readers.

Thank you so much for this wonderful opportunity Casterton Nursery and Preschool It was fantastic to explore the power of listening together and how it can make such a meaningful difference to early reading skills.
