What an exciting Secret Reader visit we had! 😀

We were delighted to welcome Sarah, a nurse, who told us all about her job and showed us her uniform. The children in Preschool shared what they would like to be when they grow up before listening to the story Nurse Nancy.

A special part of the visit was using Sarah’s stethoscope to listen to our own hearts! 🩺❤️

After being such a success at Holiday Club this past week, it was our nursery children's turn to experience Water Wars today! 💦

The children have been excited all week, and today was finally the day. Thankfully, the weather was warm enough for everyone to enjoy it, and there were plenty of smiles, laughter and splashes all around!

It wasn't just the children getting soaked either – there were a few water battles between the adults too! 😄

What a fantastic way to stay cool, burn off some energy and make some wonderful summer memories! ☀️💙

What a wonderful way to celebrate a birthday with a healthy alternative to cake! 🎉

At Acorn we encourage children to celebrate with colourful fruit platters instead of sugary treats. It's a fun, delicious, and inclusive way to mark a special day while promoting healthy eating habits from an early age.

The children had so much fun making their own England flags, crowns & banners, getting creative with red, white and blue, and proudly waving them as we talked about cheering on our team. It was a lovely opportunity to explore teamwork, creativity and a sense of community while joining in with the excitement of the football.

We all feel the pinch during the summer holidays. However this year the government are temporarily cutting VAT down by 15% to help support families during the holidays. This means paying less for meals, cinema tickets, activities and admission prices! AND on top of that during the month of August free bus travel for children aged 5 to 15!

A huge thank you to all the dads, grandads, and father figures who joined us at our Stay and Play session. It was wonderful to see so many of you spending quality time with your little ones and making special memories together.

We hope you all had a lovely time and enjoyed the activities as much as we did. Thank you for taking the time to be part of such a special session.
