My child has an autumn birthday. Will they plateau?
One of the hidden gifts of Montessori and Forest School education is the independence that develops when children are trusted with time, space and meaningful freedom. Children who are among the oldest in the academic year often benefit enormously from this.
They have the opportunity to deepen their learning. They become leaders, mentors, innovators and creators. They learn to initiate their own projects, support younger peers and develop the confidence that comes from genuine competence.
The question isn’t “Will they plateau?”
It’s “What becomes possible when a child has another year to flourish?” 🌱
