✨ Year 6 Visit to Stamford College Catering Department 🍕

Our Year 6 class had a fantastic trip to the Catering Department at Stamford College! The children thoroughly enjoyed learning all about food safety and hygiene, as well as discovering how yeast works to help dough rise when making pizza bases.

They also explored the nutritional value of different ingredients and took part in fun games and discussions that reinforced everything they had learned throughout the day.

The highlight of the experience was getting hands-on in the professional catering kitchens! The children made their own pizzas from scratch - kneading and proving the dough, rolling it out, adding their chosen toppings and cooking their creations to perfection.

Everyone left with an amazing pizza, which they happily tucked into! The results looked fantastic - some children mastered a perfect circular shape, others carefully balanced their toppings and many demonstrated excellent knife skills when preparing their ingredients.

We were incredibly proud of the children; their behaviour was impeccable and they represented the school brilliantly throughout the visit. A huge thank you to Stamford College for making this opportunity possible - we are so grateful for their time, expertise and support.

We can’t wait to visit again next year! 👏🍕

🏅 Year 4 Mini Olympics! 🏅

Our Year 4 children had a fantastic time taking part in the Mini Olympics led by inspire+. They threw themselves into a wide range of activities, showing great enthusiasm and determination throughout the day.

Despite a dramatic thunderstorm making an appearance, the children didn't let it dampen their spirits and thoroughly enjoyed every moment!

A huge thank you to the adults and our year 5 and 6 Bronze Young Ambassadors for their support and help in making the event such a success. 🌟

Well done, Year 4! 👏🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🏅

⛪ Year 6 Visit to Lincoln Cathedral ⛪
Last Tuesday, our Year 6 pupils enjoyed a wonderful visit to Lincoln Cathedral alongside other Year 6 classes from across Lincolnshire.

During the day, the children took part in a range of exciting activities, including a choral workshop, a guided tour of the cathedral, and exploring the Discovery Centre. They also attended a special service focused on the theme of 'being together' and preparing for the transition to secondary school.

The visit provided a valuable opportunity for the children to reflect on the exciting journey ahead while sharing the experience with pupils from other schools.

We were incredibly proud of how well our children represented the school throughout the day. Their behaviour was exemplary, and they embraced every activity with enthusiasm and maturity.

A fantastic day was had by all, and we would like to thank Lincoln Cathedral for hosting such a memorable and meaningful event.
