🎶 What a fabulous two days of music exams! 🎶

This week we celebrated the culmination of so much hard work, dedication, and musical commitment from our talented young musicians.

We were delighted to welcome 38 candidates for our face-to-face ABRSM music exams, with performances across guitar, cello, violin, singing, saxophone, recorder, clarinet, and piano. 🎻🎹🎷

Our pupils have shown incredible motivation and resilience as they worked towards their goals, and we couldn’t be prouder of every single one of them.

The examiners commented on the wonderful variety of music, what a lovely school Copthill School is, and how polite and courteous our children are. 💙

🌈 Rainbow Science in Pre-School! 🌈

This week, our Pre-School children continued exploring the magic of rainbows and discovered how they are formed through a colourful STEM experiment using Skittles and warm milk. 🍬🥛

The children were fascinated as they watched the colours gently spread through the milk, creating a beautiful rainbow effect. There were lots of exciting predictions, careful observations, and wonderful conversations as we investigated what was happening.

The children discovered that the rainbow appeared as the sugar coating on the sweets dissolved, allowing the colours to move and mix. This hands-on activity supported curiosity, problem-solving, observation skills, and early scientific thinking. 🔬✨

It was fantastic to see the children so engaged and enthusiastic as they watched science come to life! 🌈
