Our Y6 children have started the new school year exploring ways in which photography can be used to create abstract art. Inspired by American photographer, Edward Weston, they have been taking macro photographs before carefully editing them and turning them monochromatic to create interesting and inspiring abstract outcomes.

Congratulations to the families which took part in the Stamford Library's Summer Reading Challenge 2026! Across the summer, 398 children signed up, of which 137 were from Malcolm Sargent! Reading is such an important skill and we were so pleased to be able to invite the Library team into school in the summer term to talk to the children about being a library member and to launch their Summer Reading Challenge. Families, don't forget to attend the Finisher's Presentation Ceremony this Saturday at 1400!

Congratulations to our Dolce kitchen team, who received a spot check visit yesterday from the LCC Environmental Health team. They were completely unfazed and retained their five star food hygiene grading! Congratulations!

Calling all our ex-Y6 parents, whose children left us this summer; your child's Leavers' Book is now ready for collection at the office! We will post the books to parents who do not live locally, and send home those we can with siblings in school but the remainder need collecting please! We would be grateful if you could spread the word! Thank you.
