Are you passionate about giving children the very best start in life? 💕 We’re looking for a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Early Years Educator to join our wonderful team at Casterton Nursery.

We’re looking for someone who loves creating exciting learning opportunities, building strong relationships with children and families, and most importantly, making every day fun! 🌿🎨📚

✨ Up to 35 hours per week
✨ 52 weeks a year
✨ Job share available
✨ Salary dependent on qualifications

We’re looking for someone who takes pride in creating a clean, safe and welcoming environment for our children, families and staff.

This morning, Our Explorers indulged in experimental painting with natural materials they discovered in our forest garden. They used leaves, sticks, pinecones, and grass as makeshift paintbrushes, employing various techniques such as dripping, twisting, and draping their 'brushes' over the paper.

🌞 Helping Families Make the Most of Summer! 🌞

We thought our families would like to know about the Government's temporary VAT reduction on a range of children's activities this summer. This initiative aims to help families enjoy more days out while keeping costs down during the school holidays.

The reduction may apply to attractions such as theme parks, zoos, soft play centres, cinemas, theatres and other family-friendly activities. Children aged 5–15 may also be eligible for free local bus travel in England throughout August.

We are Hiring!

Casterton Nursery is located within the beautiful grounds of Casterton College Rutland. For over twenty years, we have provided high-quality early education and care for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years.

We are extremely motivated about the early years education we provide at Casterton. We believe children are innately curious and this is a great way for children to learn and develop. We believe children can be and do whatever they set their mind on, they most definitely reach the stars!

A huge thank you to The Reading Doctor Rutland for delivering such an insightful and engaging parent workshop on Listening and Attention. The session provided a wealth of valuable information, practical strategies, and simple activities that families can use to support children’s communication, focus, and learning at home.

We would also like to thank all of the parents and grandparents who took the time to attend and participate. Your involvement and support make such a positive difference to our children’s development and success. It was wonderful to see so much enthusiasm, discussion, and shared learning throughout the session.

Through carefully planned interactions, modelling, and well-timed support, we help children build on what they already know and can do. By extending their thinking, asking purposeful questions, and providing the right level of challenge, we support them to develop confidence, independence, and new skills.
