Sorry we have been so quiet recently we have been busy having productive meetings and have support from the Parish council, county council, governors and other community led nurseries to get a new preschool up and running as soon as possible. Our main objective is to help the school set it up and run it but if this is not possible we will run one as a community project. We are now looking to set up a small committee to help produce a business plan to take to PDET. We are looking for volunteers who have the time and enthusiasm to help move this project forward! Please contact [email protected]
If you can help!

We will post regular updates on here! Thankyou

The sudden closure of the preschool here in Ryhall is such sad news. My children have attended Ryhall nursery for 2 years now, and it breaks my heart that my son will not be able to continue in the care and education of such a wonderful place of learning. The preschool in Ryhall has been an amazing asset to the village for nearly 50 years! Please do not let this be the end of such an established part of our community.

Because of their attendance at the Ryhall preschool, children in our community have been able to participate in numerous events with the primary school and the village, including an annual Nativity play, the annual May dance and a weekly settle in visit to the reception classroom before officially going to “the big school”. For my daughter, this has been a critical piece to her having a successful transition into her school career at Ryhall C of E. She never would have had these opportunities, had she gone to a different preschool.

The preschool is in need of a new building, which is the main reason for its closure. The funding needed for a new building can realistically be acquired through fundraising and grants.

In parallel to the rebuild, there is now a group of us parents and villagers who would like to start the process of founding a committee led non-profit preschool, to ensure that there is 100% parent involvement in the well being of the school and children of Ryhall and neighbouring villages for years to come. It would be amazing to have further support from the community as we embark on this journey!
