Women are all Warriors, managing work, children, challenges & life - Let me support you!

17/07/2025

For over 2 years, I’ve been to the gym building bone and muscle mass to manage my MS and menopause symptoms and future proof my body and brain for my second half-century 💪
There’s nothing special or extraordinary about me - I’m a 50 year old ball juggling Mum of 3 with a coaching business and 2 part-time jobs….I’ve just chosen to make looking after me a top priority. It’s not selfish - protecting your current and future physical and mental health is a win:win for you, your children and your career - when you’re feeling your best inside and out, you’re happier and more effective for everyone and everything in your life 🥰
That’s why I’ve added Personal Training to my business offering - to partner busy exhausted women to reclaim their power and energy
If you want to find out how, contact me for a chat - you never know where it can take you 💪💪

Hello lovely ladies!
It’s been a while - time to reintroduce myself - I’ve had my wellness coaching & training business for over 4 years now and as well as it’s been going, I knew there was something missing. I’m working with some awesome women who need support to be happier, healthier and find that magic balance - but the one thing I wasn’t qualified to do was offer physical coaching as well as emotional and mental health coaching….
So guess what?! - I spent the last 3 months chiselling out every spare second between work and being Mum to 3 gorgeous kids and I have officially become a Personal Trainer 🎉🎉🎉
I can now use my lived experience of juggling the chaos of life - being Mum, business owner and navigating menopause and M.S, alongside my all-round wellness qualifications, to partner women in any area of their life that isn’t where they want it to be.
You all know me (some more than others!) and I’d really appreciate you helping me in spreading the word about my new PT business if you’re able - meantime, if you’re ready to get stronger inside and out, you know how to find me 💪💪

I want to wish you all a happy new year - but at the same time, I don’t want you to feel any more pressure about how you might achieve that! Everyone’s talking about being better, doing more, changing themselves - and it’s as overwhelming as it is exhausting to read and listen to, let alone try and do!
Nature is sensible. Nature rests through January, conserving energy and resting, ready to bloom when it’s not so cold and dark - and isn’t it beautiful when it comes?
I always love Donna’s words and she’s as eloquent as ever here. Happy reading - and happy 2025 being imperfectly perfect you in whatever form that takes 🥰

For many, January is a hard, cold month…

When everyone is setting new goals, laying down righteous ground rules and striving to become a better version of themselves, some of us are fighting to find our feet each day...

You see, December is a month of giving, and some of us, come January, are completely and utterly spent.

A month of remembering everyone, and remembering absolutely everything.

A month of including everyone and of reaching out to each and every person we have ever known.

A month of reaching breaking point every day trying to have fun, to be the ultimate hostess, to be the perfect guest.

A month of stretching ourselves financially, emotionally and of letting our boundaries be breached by many... in the spirit of the season.

And then January hits and bam... before we can even begin the arduous task of clearing away the festivities, we are expected to jump on the ‘new year, new you’ bandwagon and transform ourselves entirely.

For some of us this is just too much.

January is the darkest and most depressing month of the year and for many sensitive souls, the barrage of ‘advice’ on how we ‘should’ be living, is just too much.

So perhaps this is a safe place to say that maybe it’s okay to take a week or two to recover and to just be kind to ourselves before demanding better.

And for those of us who really do fall low in the darkest month of the year. For those of us who have given too much and to whom the future looks bleak - perhaps this is the right place to say - you are absolutely fine the way you are. Just stay.

Take some time to breathe.

Take some time to not think about anything much at all except breathing in and breathing out.

Take some time to build back up, not tear your yourself down.

For many, this month is a mountain that looks unclimbable.

Be kind, my friends. Always.

Every day should be mental health day - because being aware of how we’re feeling mentally and emotionally every day is the difference between surviving and thriving, in and out of work.
Part of my motivation for working in the well-being space is my lived experience of burnout, PND and PTSD - I ignored symptoms for a long time, hoping things would improve on their own and feeling too embarrassed to get help. Thankfully I swallowed my silly pride and stubbornness, sought the right support and started looking after myself as a priority rather than an after thought.
Make today the day you start putting your well-being first - and then you can be your best to look after others 🥰

👋 Hey beautiful ladies!
✨ Today is the day - to celebrate all that you are, what has got you here and where you're going!
👸 Us women are phenomenal - our lives are not made easier, we are juggling careers, partners, families, friends, homes, illness and the physical, emotional and mental load that comes with being a female in today's modern, chaotic and pressured world.
🤗 Use today to remind yourselves how utterly brilliant you are, tell the women in your life how much you appreciate them and keep being you 💖

"I'm OK!" "I'll manage!" "Oh, you know!"
Is this how you reply when someone asks how you are?
But are you really OK?
Today is Time to Talk day, a collaboration between MIND and Rethink Mental Illness, to encourage us all to talk, and to listen.
With 1 in 4 of us in the UK facing mental health challenges in a year, this day has never been more important - and women can be susceptible to not being OK, we are potentially juggling children, a career and the pressures of daily life and it's super easy to get overwhelmed but not ask for help because we think we should be doing it all ourselves.
Be brave today - use the opportunity to start a conversation with a friend, partner, colleague or manager. Share how you are feeling and open up an important conversation, there will always be someone willing to listen, and to care.
And if you really are OK right now? Give someone else the gift of being heard today and let's reduce the stigma of mental health challenges together, one conversation and one day at a time 💚

👋🏻 Well hello!!
🥂 Gosh, Christmas and new year were a whirlwind of family activities and chaos and here we are nearly at the end of the first month of 2024 already!
🎉 I’d like to wish you all on this page a very healthy, happy and successful New Year, whatever that looks like for you 🎉
🤯 I don’t know about you but I’ve struggled with my mojo this year so far after such a full-on December. I was punishing myself initially, fuelled with guilt that all my business owner contacts were super present on social media telling me about all their plans for taking over the world - and there was me sitting at my laptop feeling overwhelmed and not knowing where to start…..
🐻 But then I remembered an article I read in a well-being magazine this time last year - it talked about how we should follow the example of nature. In the winter, animals hibernate. They rest while it’s cold and dreary, as do the flowers and trees, and they gather their energy, recharging ready to blossom and flourish in the spring.
Us humans have forgotten this - we’re told by the influencers to run into the new year, give more, do more, be more and completely change ourselves.
But this isn’t realistic or achievable - and for those of us already spinning too many plates with jobs, children and life, it can make us feel inadequate or not enough.
🌱 Trust me when I tell you that you are enough and you’re all doing your best - and if right now, your best means your own version of hibernating, do exactly that! Nature is here to teach us and we can learn so much about slowing down and taking care of ourselves by tuning in to the world around us.
🙏 Give yourselves a break and keep that inner voice kind - if you insist on having a resolution this year, try just this one - talk to yourself like you talk to your loved ones, we all deserve to be our own best friends 💖

👭 I have been lucky to have worked with some truly awesome and inspirational women in my life, fabulous mentors, managers and peers - and I wouldn't be where I am without them
✨ - so I am very happy to share the celebrations on International Women's Day, for them and us all
😢 But I am also a little sad if I dare say?
📢 Sad that in 2023, we need a day of our own to get our voices heard when this should happen every day?
🥱 Sad (but also privileged) that I am still coaching women who are struggling with the overwhelm of managing careers they should be paid more equitably for, managing children often with little support and managing the mental and emotional load of trying to be the best employees, partners and parents but lacking the recognition and support they deserve and always putting themselves last
🦸‍♀️ The women I partner in coaching are brilliant unsung superheroes - they juggle all life throws at them, and then some
💝 One of the drivers to start my business was to support women to finally put themselves first and I feel so honoured that women trust me to hold their hand on this journey - the overriding theme as some stage in our coach relationship is that only when we take as much care of ourselves and our physical, mental and emotional health as we care for those around us, can we be happy and fulfilled and be our best selves, for us and everyone else! 🎀
