Good morning everyone ☺️

Sorry for being so quite recently but as you can imagine I have had nothing to report due to covid. So as I predicted I didn’t think that restrictions were going to be lifted in June, this is why I have not posted until now. I have spoken to the church about re-opening Playgroup and due to the restrictions being in place the risk assessment was delayed. So we have decided the very best way to open Playgroup safely would be to plan to re-open in September. We know that this is disappointing news but we have to consider all the factors involved to keep the children, yourselves and ourselves safe and well. We hope you understand this decision and you continue to support us 🙂 Thank you ❤️

Today’s activity to try Foot print ghost 👻

Black card
White paint
Pva glue
Black felt tip
Sponge

Cut your sponge in half we would normally use a sponge for cleaning dishes. Mix a little white paint with the pva glue (small amount of pva will make make the paint stand out) onto a small plate. Paint the bottom of you child’s foot (this definitely makes them laugh especially if you make a funny noise) and get them to stand on the card. Push down a little then lift up and use a baby wipe to clean. Leave to dry and then just use the black felt to draw eyes ❤️

So because I’m missing playgroup so much 😢 I thought I would share some of the previous Halloween 🎃 activities we have done for you to maybe try at home ❤️
Today hand print bats
Black card or paper
Glue
String
Glitter

Fold the paper/card in half and draw round the child’s hand then you cut out.
Draw a middle bat shape with the remaining card/paper
Get the child to stick together in the shape of a bat then decorate how you like ☺️
You could then hang them up
Enjoy ❤️

Hello all I have an update

Unfortunately we will not be able to open on the 7th September. This is due to the parish centre not being allowed to be reopened because it needs a full risk assessment. Many groups use the parish centre as it is part of the church, so this is vital that the risk assessment is put in place before we can safely open to protect our children, parents and ourselves, and the local lock down has not helped this process.
I will keep you all updated on here and we hope to be open after half term or slightly before ###
