Letters from across the world ✉️🌏
Miss Shaw’s geography students received a letter from a former Matthew Arnold student, John, who attended the school in the 1950s! He is now living in Hawaii. They received pictures of the volcanoes Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea where John now lives - how very different to Staines!
Today the class wrote back to John after studying the information he had sent and the images of theses impressive volcanoes. How lovely to be able to connect with others from across the globe and learn at the same time.
Year 8 are creating some brilliant studies of Giacometti’s surreal human figure sculptures at the moment before we make our own sculptures next week. Here’s some from this morning. Well done!! W😍w!

Shout out to Year 7 art who are refining their colour pencils at the moment in these work in progress drawings, Chupa Chups inspired by artist Sarah Graham Art.
