The girls' netball team played amazingly in the heat this week, where they held Laleham 2s to a 1–1 draw until the very last quarter.
Unfortunately, we could not hold off their long, loopy passes at the very end.
The girls all showed excellent teamwork and supportiveness toward each other on and off the pitch.

This week, 2J have been learning about algorithms and debugging in Computing.

Using the Earls, the children completed a range of exciting challenges that required them to follow and create clear instructions, test their ideas, and fix any mistakes along the way. They showed fantastic problem-solving skills, resilience, and teamwork as they refined their algorithms.

This morning Reception children were lucky to have a visit from Malcolm at the Air Ambulance Charity - Kent Surrey and Sussex. He spoke to the children about the important work that the service provides as well as detailing how they use a helicopter to support people who need them. The children listened well and asked some very thoughtful questions. We would like to thank Malcolm for this time and engaging presentation. This term in DT, Year 1 have been designing and making their own moving mechanisms. They explored how different mechanisms work, including sliders, springs and flaps, and investigated how these can be used to create movement in a picture. Using their new knowledge and skills, the children designed and made their own space-themed pictures featuring a range of moving parts.
