Halloween sensory fun in the woods this morning 🎃
The monkeys explored the spaghetti ‘worms’ and jelly ‘brains’. Little I enjoyed the sensory aspect, whilst F and G had fun throwing the spaghetti around, counting the spiders and bat! 🦇 🕷️

I made some playdough with biodegradable glitter last night for todays adventure.

We went for a lovely walk at Virginia Water lake and used a short tree stump as a table to play with our playdough.

The little ones enjoying poking, prodding and squeezing it through their fingers, putting sticks into it and rolling it around the table.

The big ones found sticks, stones, leaves, grass and pine cones to add to it and made birthday cakes with stick candles. They counted the correct number of sticks for their age, adding one number higher for their next birthdays, then we all sang happy birthday to everyone!

What a fab morning!

This is one of my favourite spots for messy play. We tied an old sheet to some trees, donned our aprons and did a spot of painting in the woods.

The children got stuck in, chose their colours and even gave some meaning to their marks “I did a trumpet!”
