Coffee, cake and a very special cause!

On Friday 25th September at 9am, we will be opening our doors for our Macmillan Coffee Morning, raising money to support the incredible work of Macmillan Cancer Support.

Macmillan’s work touches the lives of so many people and families, often at times when support, care and kindness are needed most. Our coffee morning is a simple way for our school community to come together, enjoy some time with one another and raise money for a cause that means so much to so many.

It will be a great opportunity to catch up over a cup of tea or coffee and, of course, plenty of delicious cake! If you are new to Our Lady of the Rosary, it will be a lovely chance to meet other families, have a chat and get to know some new faces.

We hope you can join us. Every cup of tea, slice of cake and donation will help us make a difference.

A new space for learning at OLRS!

Our new outdoor classroom is now ready to be enjoyed by children across the school. Generously funded by our PTA, this fantastic addition gives us another flexible space to support learning and wellbeing throughout the school day.

From small group work and story time to outdoor learning and a quiet sensory break-out space, it will be used in lots of different ways to meet the needs of our children.

A huge thank you to the PTA and to our whole school community, whose contributions to PTA fundraising have helped to fund this wonderful new addition to our school.

Thank you to all of our children, families and staff for making this year such a special one. We have celebrated so much together and have so much to be proud of.

To our Year 6 children and to all the families who are moving on, thank you for being part of our school community. We wish you every happiness in the future and hope you will always look back on your time at Our Lady with great fondness.

Have a wonderful summer break and we look forward to seeing everyone back in September.

District Sports always provides a brilliant opportunity for pupils to challenge themselves, and this year was no exception.

Having been promoted to League One last year, this was our first opportunity to compete at this higher level. We knew we would be facing some exceptionally strong competition, so our focus was simply on giving our very best and seeing how we measured up.

Our pupils did exactly that. Every child represented the school with determination, resilience and outstanding sportsmanship, producing performances they could be truly proud of.

To finish 3rd overall in our first year in League One is a remarkable achievement, particularly when competing against schools that are, in many cases, much larger than ours.

We are immensely proud of every member of the team for the way they represented Our Lady of the Rosary. Congratulations on a fantastic achievement!

Every child had their moment to shine at this year's Sports Day.

Pupils took part in a carousel of activities, giving everyone the opportunity to challenge themselves, support their classmates and represent their house with pride. The determination, encouragement and excellent sportsmanship on display were a real credit to our school, with children celebrating one another's achievements just as enthusiastically as their own.

The hot weather certainly made the event more challenging, but our pupils showed tremendous resilience and kept going with smiles on their faces.

Congratulations to St Andrew's House, who emerged triumphant to become our 2026 Sports Day champions!

What a fantastic afternoon we had at JulyFest 2026!

There was plenty to enjoy, with stalls, games, delicious food, sweet treats and lots of fun in the sunshine. It was wonderful to see so many people enjoying the afternoon together and supporting our school.

A huge thank you goes to our incredible PTA, whose hard work, organisation and commitment made the day possible. We are also so grateful to all of our staff, volunteers and everyone who gave their time before, during and after the event to help everything run so smoothly.

The final fundraising total is still being calculated, so watch this space, we'll be sharing it very soon!

Thank you to everyone who came along and supported the event. JulyFest was another wonderful reminder of the generosity, kindness and community spirit that make our school such a special place.

Our nursery children had the most heart-warming experience as they welcomed their dads and special father figures in to spend some quality time together over the last week. The joy on the children’s faces said it all! From shared laughter to precious little moments, it was truly wonderful to see such special bonds being celebrated.

What an incredible week it has been!

As we look at this final Year 6 PGL photo, we see so much more than smiling faces. We see courage, laughter, teamwork, friendship, determination, and memories that will last a lifetime.

From challenging themselves to trying new things, supporting one another and sharing countless moments of fun, every child has made this trip truly special.

We could not be prouder of every single one of them. What a fantastic group of young people.
