📣Calling all Swimming Teachers in the Midlands Area…

Sensory Integration in Water Workshop with Jo Wilson

Join us at Swimwell ‘s brand new facility in Stafford for a practical, engaging workshop designed to help you understand sensory integration and how to confidently support children in the pool.

Together we’ll enjoy:

* Dry learning time to explore the theory behind sensory integration.
* Water-based practical sessions packed with activities you can use straight away.
* Time to connect, reflect and learn together, with opportunities to discuss your own challenges and ask questions.

We’ll begin by exploring why sensory awareness matters and how understanding each child’s sensory needs can transform their experience in the water. You’ll learn how to find the “just right” sensory balance. Supporting children without overwhelming them and how to recognise what they need in the moment.

Our pool sessions are hands-on, practical and full of sensory-based activities. You’ll discover how to balance calming and alerting experiences, adapting your approach to help each child feel safe, regulated and ready to learn.

As part of the workshop, you’ll also receive:

* A free digital Sensory Integration Activity Guide
* Our popular Sensory Regulation Cards, all OT-approved and ready to use in your sessions.

You’ll leave with a deeper understanding of sensory integration, practical strategies you can implement immediately, and the confidence to create more inclusive, responsive aquatic experiences.

Swimwell is at the STA Roadshow today!🏊‍♀️

Our team is attending the Midlands event to take part in training, workshops and professional development with the Swimming Teachers’ Association.

Keeping our skills and knowledge up-to-date is a huge part of what we do. It helps us deliver safe, confident and high-quality swimming lessons for children and families in Stafford.

We’re looking forward to bringing new ideas and learning back to the pool 💙

To all of my friends and family….
SWIMWELL (and me!) NEEDS YOUR HELP!

We need you, all friends and family to help support our planning application
via the council’s website to be granted permission for the use of Swimwell’s new facility.

On the horizon, we have a very exciting expansion for the swim school with a standout
state of art facility for your children to swim in. This includes a lovely warm 32-degree
pool stretching out 20 metres long by 8 metres wide. The facility will boast modern
spacious changing rooms and a wraparound viewing area for spectators including
entertainment stations for our younger generation.

This application, if granted by the council, secures a new Swimwell venue for the next
20 years of the swim school to teach children a valuable life skill, increase opportunities
to all within the community and offer more jobs within the local vicinity of Staffordshire.
With current customer support, it would be a massive step in the right direction to help
secure this facility and have our planning permission accepted.
