I started my study of mind and performance coaching back in 2002 when I became fascinated with the impact that such techniques have on mindset, personal and professional performance and overall health and wellbeing. From my own experience as a client of NLP coaching, I increased my ability for public speaking and the delivery of influential business presentations. I eliminated my phobia of birds(!) and reduced my hay fever suffering, whilst at the same time developing my own levels of sensory aquity, enabling me to better understand myself and others. I became fascinated with the power of such techniques health & wellbeing and on everyday life, and began my journey of study and practice to became the person I wanted to be - someone who can help make these valuable and life enhancing changes in others who want to release themselves from the things that hold them back, and those who want to make purposeful charges towards a better, more desirable future. Since then, I began studying individual behaviour and communication styles and in 2005 trained and qualified as an Internationally Licensed Practitioner of Neuro Linguistic Programming. I researched emotional intelligence, first in Denmark and then in the U.K. through my MBA and applied work on elite personal and professional performance (specifically in athletes, and professionals working within the leisure and hospitality industries including the world renowned Raymond Blanc, Alain Roux, Diego Masciaga, Marcus Wareing and Michael Caines). I went on to train in hypnotherapy with the co-founder of NLP, Dr Richard Bandler, and the British hypnotist and behavioural scientist, Paul McKenna and returned in 2017 to train again with Dr Richard Bandler and John La Valle (President for the Society of NLP) to become an Internationally Licensed Master Practitioner of NLP. I continue to keep up with new and emerging research in the field of brain health and performance through my PhD research which focuses on examining the neurology of the brain during NLP and coaching interventions with a focus on improving cognitive (mental) and physical (body) performance.
