✨ Behind every production, there is a vision that is brought to life. ✨
Being the director of a show is so much more than what happens on stage. It’s the process of taking an idea from those very first thoughts and turning it into something that audiences can eventually see, hear and feel. 🎭
There are countless hours that go into the organisation, planning and preparation behind every production — from creating choreography, planning scenes and staging, organising rehearsals, costumes, props and transitions, to constantly thinking about how every individual element can come together to create one complete show.
As a director, I get to take all of those ideas and visions and shape them into something real. Although there is so much work that happens behind the scenes, none of my visions could ever come to life without the incredible students I have walking through our doors every single week.✨
Their dedication, commitment, talent and willingness to keep learning and pushing themselves is what truly makes the shows what they are. Every class, every rehearsal, every correction, every challenge contributes to the final production.
One of my favourite parts of directing is watching an idea that has lived in my head for months slowly become a reality through these young performers. Seeing them grow in confidence, find their characters, develop their skills and eventually step onto that stage and perform is something I will never take for granted.
I may create the vision, but they are the ones who bring it to life. ✨
I’m incredibly proud of every single student who gives their time, energy and heart to each production. Thank you for trusting my ideas, embracing the challenges and always giving me something to be proud of.
