This afternoon, Acorn Class enjoyed their very first visit to our pond area, and what a wonderful adventure it was! 🌳🍂

The children spent the afternoon exploring their surroundings, making observations and asking lots of thoughtful and inquisitive questions about the natural world around them. Their curiosity was fantastic to see!

As part of their exploration, they hunted for leaves and sorted them by colour. The children then compared their findings, discussing which colours were most and least common.🍁🍂🍃

It was lovely to see the children working together, sharing ideas and using their observation skills to learn more about nature. We are so proud of their enthusiasm, curiosity and excellent questioning throughout the afternoon! They can't wait for their next pond area adventure! 🌿💚

Another fantastic week at After School Club! 🎨🍂 The children enjoyed creating beautiful watercolour paintings and using natural materials to make some wonderful pieces of artwork. When the sunshine made an appearance, they loved spending some time outdoors too! ☀️🌳

As always, there was plenty of creativity and teamwork on show with some brilliant LEGO creations being built together. 🧱✨

✨ GOLDEN TICKET WINNERS! ✨
What a very exciting lunchtime we had today! 🎉 Each class had a lucky Golden Ticket winner, who got to enjoy a special chicken nugget lunch! 🏆🍗

It was also fantastic to see so many children enjoying a school lunch today - the dinner hall was certainly a busy and happy place! 😋

🐻🌿Yesterday morning, as part of their Literacy journey, Conker Class headed outside for their very own barefoot bear hunt!👣

They tiptoed over the gravel, trudged through the snow ❄️, crunched through the leaves 🍂, squelched across the grass and finally made their way through the warm river! 🌊

But when we returned to the classroom… the bear had beaten us back!🐻 He was sitting very comfortably on Miss Bowen’s chair!

We can’t wait to see their fantastic recount writing next week! ✏️📖

🍽️ CENSUS DAY – THURSDAY 1ST OCTOBER! 🍽️
Census Day is an important day for schools! The number of children having a school dinner helps to provide important information about school meal funding, so we would really encourage as many children as possible to enjoy a school dinner next Thursday. ❤️

There are some yummy choices on the menu:
🍗 Chicken Nuggets
🌱 Veggie Nuggets
🥔 Jacket Potato
🍅 Tomato Pasta
We’d love to see lots of our children enjoying a delicious school dinner and helping our school on Census Day! 🌟

🌍This afternoon, Conker Class had a special guest! As part of our Geography learning, the children have been researching the human and physical features of Gnosall.

Chris has created a wonderful model of Gnosall, which he kindly brought in to share with the class. It helped the children to see the different human and physical features, as well as where they are in relation to one another. 🗺️
The children absolutely loved exploring the model and spotting all of the amazing details!👀

A huge thank you to Chris for giving up his time to share his fantastic model with us and helping to bring our Geography learning to life!🗺
