Blessed William Howard students are again celebrating excellent A–level results.

23% of all grades awarded were an A* or A.

Results in vocational subjects have also been extremely pleasing, with all students achieving the highest grades of Distinction* or Distinction.

We are also proud to report that over three quarters of Blessed William Howard students have secured a university place or an apprenticeship, this figure is significantly higher than the national average, further testament to the high aspirations and hard work of our students.

Students, parents and teachers should be very proud of these excellent, well-deserved grades. I extend my warmest congratulations to all students for their individual achievements, and my deepest thanks to the staff whose commitment, guidance and hard work have enabled our students to flourish and fulfil their potential."

We are particularly proud of student achievement across the following subjects: English Language and Literature, Religious Studies, History, Physics, and Vocational Sport and Physical Activity.

We continue to offer all our students the opportunity to complete the Extended Project Qualification to further support the development of study and research skills. We are delighted that most students achieved A* - B grades.

Some of the top performers include:

Evie Murphy who has achieved A* English Language and Literature, A* History, A* Religious Studies, and A in EPQ, she will be attending the University of Oxford to read Law.

Laila Temple who has achieved A* Religious Studies, A Mathematics, A English Language and Literature, and A in EPQ, she will be attending the University of Manchester to read Law.

Bwalya Mulenga who has achieved A* English Language and Literature, A Religious Studies, B History, and A in EPQ, she will be attending University of Bristol to read Politics and International Relations with Study Abroad.

What a fantastic way to celebrate the end of an incredible journey at St Anne's! 🌟

On Thursday evening, our Year 6 pupils took to the stage this week to perform their end-of-year production, Gigglebox, and what a performance it was! Filled with laughter, music, energy and plenty of memorable moments, the children entertained everyone from start to finish with their confidence, enthusiasm and outstanding acting.

Over the past few weeks, they have shown tremendous dedication, working hard to learn lines, perfect songs and support one another to bring the production to life. Their teamwork, resilience and commitment shone through in every scene, making us all incredibly proud.

A huge thank you goes to our wonderful staff for their hard work behind the scenes, and to our families and friends for their continued support and encouragement. Most importantly, congratulations to our amazing Year 6 pupils for putting on such a joyful and memorable show. It was a wonderful celebration of their time at St Anne's, and we know they will carry the confidence, friendships and happy memories they've made here into the next exciting chapter of their journey.

On Wednesday morning, the children in Reception, Year 1 and 2 enjoyed a fantastic assembly from the Staffordshire History Centre.

Year 2 had a fantastic day exploring the beautiful surroundings of Trentham Gardens on Thursday, as part of their learning in Science and Art.

During their visit, the children deepened their understanding of plants and how they grow, identifying a wide variety of flowers, trees and habitats while seeing first-hand how plants thrive in different environments. They asked thoughtful questions and made excellent links to their classroom learning.

Inspired by the work of artist Andy Goldsworthy, the children also collected natural materials to create their own stunning pieces of ephemeral artwork. Using leaves, petals, twigs, stones and other natural treasures, they demonstrated wonderful creativity, teamwork and respect for the environment, producing artwork that beautifully reflected Goldsworthy's style.

We were incredibly proud of all of the children, whose exemplary behaviour, enthusiasm and curiosity were recognised throughout the day. In fact, staff at Trentham Gardens commented that St Anne's was the best school group they had welcomed all week—a wonderful achievement that reflects our children's excellent manners, positive attitudes and the way they live out our mission every day.

Well done, Year 2—you were outstanding ambassadors for St Anne's!

Congratulations to our Year 5 and Year 6 Rounders Team, who represented St Anne's Catholic Primary School brilliantly at the Catholic Schools Rounders Competition on Tuesday. The team demonstrated excellent teamwork, determination and sportsmanship throughout the tournament, playing with confidence and resilience in every match. After a fantastic afternoon of competition, they secured an impressive 2nd place, a wonderful achievement against some very strong opposition.

We are incredibly proud of the way our pupils supported one another, encouraged their teammates and represented our school with such respect and enthusiasm. Well done to everyone involved on a fantastic performance!

Today, our school was full of excitement as the children enjoyed another successful transition session, spending time with their new teachers and classmates ahead of September.

It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces, growing confidence and enthusiasm as everyone began to settle into their new classrooms and routines. These sessions are a valuable opportunity to build relationships, ask questions and look forward to the new school year.

We are incredibly proud of how well all of our children embraced today's experience and can't wait to welcome them back in September for another fantastic year of learning and growth.
