BURLEY BUDDIES

As Burleyfields continues to grow, we would love our parent and carer community to grow with us! 💚

✏️🤖 DRAWING CLUB 🎨✨

What a fantastic few weeks we’ve had at Drawing Club!

Over the past three weeks, the children have been developing their drawing skills by exploring different types of lines. This week, they put applied these skills by combining a variety of lines and shapes to draw their very own robots! 🤖

Our enrichment clubs give children opportunities to discover new interests, develop their talents and raise their aspirations as future artists and designers 🎨💡

We are incredibly proud of the enrichment and Personal Development offer at Burleyfields, providing opportunities for every child to explore, create and thrive. 💚

🚲 PEDALS AT THE READY! 🛴

Next week is Cycle to School Week: Monday 5th to Friday 9th October! 🌍💚

We would love to see as many Burleyfields families as possible swapping the car for two wheels and enjoying a healthier, greener journey to school.

🚲 Remember that we have bike and scooter storage! This is located on the far side of the playground. Please ensure all bikes and scooters are left in this designated area and not elsewhere on the school site.

🍎 HEALTHY EATING AT BURLEYFIELDS 🥦

Healthy bodies help to build happy, healthy minds! 🌈

We are encouraging our children to think about the choices that help them to eat well, move more and feel their best. From eating a rainbow of fruit and vegetables to drinking plenty of water and choosing healthy snacks, small choices can make a big difference.

Take a look at our poster for some simple ideas to try at home. 🍓🥕🍌

Healthy choices today, to Walk the Burleyfields Way tomorrow! 💚

💚 A HUGE thank you to Kwik Fit! 💚

We are incredibly grateful to Kwik Fit for their generous donation of hi-vis vests and tyres to support our outdoor learning and play! 🌿🚗

These resources will help our children explore, create and learn through play as we continue to Walk the Burleyfields Way!

Thank you for supporting our school community! 💚

📰💚 BURLEYFIELDS IN THE NEWS!

We're delighted to see Burleyfields featured as part of the Little Heroes Campaign! It's wonderful to showcase our growing school community and everything that makes Burleyfields so special.

🌿 We are so proud to Walk the Burleyfields Way!

👇 Have a read!

📚 Little Heroes is back… and it’s already making a difference

Our award-winning campaign is returning for a third year — helping younger children build positive school routines and feel more confident about going to school.

Since launching, it’s helped deliver:
✅ a 2.46% increase in attendance
✅ over 1,300 extra learning days for pupils

This year also brings something new 👀

A brand-new story, Helpful Bear and his backpack of worries 🧸

It’s designed to help younger children understand their feelings and know it’s okay to share worries — with a simple message: you don’t have to deal with things on your own.

Thousands of children across have already taken part, with schools using the resources to support wellbeing and attendance.

You can listen to the audiobook and watch the read-along via the links in the comments ⬇️

🚶‍♀️ WALK TO SCHOOL🚶‍♂️

This map shows just how many of our families live within a 5–10 minute walk of Burleyfields. We would love our families to choose walking, scooting or cycling to school. 💚

Choosing active travel helps to reduce traffic around school, keeps our entrances safer and is a great way to start the day.

🚗 If you choose to drive, just a reminder to please park respectfully and considerately, following all local parking restrictions and being mindful of our neighbours. There are side roads nearby where parking is available without restrictions.

Thank you for helping us keep the area around Burleyfields safe and welcoming for everyone as we Walk the Burleyfields Way together💚
