A well-established charity run community pre-school and nursery in Stafford Our qualified staff is well trained and have many years of experience in childcare.

St Peter's Pre-school is a well-established community nursery and charity that has been operating since 1970. The pre-school extended its opening hours and moved from St Peter's Church Hall into our newly refurbished light and spacious premises in 2004. Our nursery has a curriculum that covers all aspects of learning through play to encourage physical, intellectual, emotional, social and language development. We gained an overall judgment of "good, with outstanding features" in our last Ofsted inspection. The pre-school offers both full and sessional daycare to children aged between 0-8 years.

🚗🚌🚂 Vroom, vroom… off we go! 🚂🚌🚗

The children in Bunnies have been exploring all things vehicles!
They’ve been discovering the different types of vehicles they see around them and thinking about how they move — rolling, travelling, speeding, stopping and going! 🛞💨

We’ve been bringing our learning to life through some favourite songs too, including:
🎶 The Wheels on the Bus 🚌
🎶 Down at the Station 🚂
🎶 I’m Driving in My Car 🚗

There has been lots of singing, movement, imagination and plenty of “beep beep!” along the way! 📣😄

It’s wonderful to see the children learning through play, developing their language, listening skills, coordination and understanding of the world around them. 🌍💛

☁️🎈 Adventure is out there! 🎈☁️

Our babies have been having lots of fun with our Disney Up-themed sensory tray! 🏠🌈

Using soft, fluffy foam to create the clouds and colourful balls to represent the balloons, the babies had a wonderful time exploring, touching, squishing and investigating the different textures and colours. 💙

And, of course, sensory play wouldn't be complete without getting foam EVERYWHERE! 😂☁️

There were lots of happy faces, messy hands and plenty of opportunities to develop their sensory awareness, fine motor skills and curiosity through play.

Sometimes the best adventures are the messiest ones! 💕☁️🎈

🪑🎨 Could You Help Us Give Our Outdoor Furniture a New Lease of Life? 🌿

We’re looking for someone locally who enjoys practical jobs and has time to spare to help us sand and paint some of our outdoor nursery furniture.

We’re a small charity-run nursery and, like many charities, we have to make our funds stretch as far as possible. We’re therefore looking for someone who might be happy to take on this project for us at a reasonable, budget-friendly cost.

It’s a straightforward job, but it would make a huge difference to our outdoor space and give the furniture a much-needed refresh for the children to enjoy. 💚

If you’re someone who likes keeping busy, enjoys a bit of DIY and has some time available, we’d love to hear from you!

🐾🦒 Welcome to our Mini Zoo! 🦓🐘

Our Bunnies have been enjoying a wonderful zoo-themed tuff tray, creating lots of opportunities for imaginative play, exploration and learning. 🐒🦁

The children explored the different animals, moving them around the zoo, making homes for them and using the hay and wood shavings to create different areas for the animals. 🌾

They had lots of fun discovering the textures, scooping, touching and exploring the materials, while developing their fine motor skills, language and communication, imagination and social skills as they played alongside their friends. 💛

There was lots to see, touch and talk about — from the tall giraffes 🦒 to the zebras 🦓 and elephants 🐘!

Learning through play at its best! 🌟

🐛🥕 You may have heard of The Very Hungry Caterpillar… but what about Our Very Healthy Caterpillar? 🥦🍓

Our Piglets have been getting creative and learning all about healthy foods by making their very own Healthy Caterpillar! 🌱

Using pictures of different healthy foods, the children carefully stuck them onto plates to create their very own colourful caterpillar. 🥕🍎🍌🍇

A fun, hands-on way to talk about the foods that help us grow, learn and stay healthy. 💚

And just look at our fantastic Healthy Caterpillar! 🐛🌈

Introducing the Ducklings room team: Miss Hayley S, Miss Hayley M, and Miss Bessie. These three bring so much warmth, patience, and joy to our youngest children here at St Peters Pre-School and Nursery, and we couldn't be more proud to have them.

🌊 Exploring Our Own Little Seaside World! 🐚🐠

In Ducklings the babies have been diving into a wonderful under-the-sea themed sensory experience! 🌊✨

The babies explored our seaside scene, using sand to create the beach and blue sensory materials to make the ocean. They had lots of fun discovering and playing with different sea creatures, from fish and dolphins to starfish and sharks. 🐟🐬⭐🦈

We also explored colourful sensory tubes and ribbons, encouraging the babies to look, touch, shake and investigate the different textures, colours and movements. 🌈✨

It was a lovely opportunity to support sensory exploration — all while having lots of fun!

🐚 A little seaside adventure without leaving the room! 🌊💙
