We are looking forward to celebrating harvest with you all tomorrow. Just to let you know that we have made a slight change, in that the church will be locked until 2pm, as we are going to ensure the children are in their correct spots before opening the doors. This is just to ensure the children feel confident and can do their very best. Thank you for your understanding 👍🏻🌾

Year 3/4 had a great 'Book Club' session this week! We read a poem called 'The Great Big Clean Up' by Christian Foley. We read the poem in different ways, talked about the rhyming words and had fun with the rhythm! We even got to watch the poet perform it himself!

Afterwards, we talked about plastic pollution and created our own acrostic poems on the same theme.

Class 2 had an eggcellent time in science today in the Great Egg Drop! We have been learning about different materials and their properties, so today we put them to the test. We investigated which material would be the best at keeping the egg intact. We wrapped one egg in cotton wool, one in paper, one in cardboard and one in tissue. Which eggs do you think survived?

Class 1 have been busy learners this week! They have been experimenting with floating and sinking in the water tray, finding magnetic items with the magnets in the sand and they have been learning all about people who help us! Our children loved role playing in the post office and writing their own letters and postcards for the Jolly Postman to send.
