Veritas Primary Academy is a primary school that thinks and dreams big for its pupils. Expectations are high for all who make up our community and these standards are reflected in the wonderful physical environment we have developed to enable children to flourish within and beyond the school walls. We are committed to developing learners who are well prepared to be successful citizens of the 21st century. Veritas opened as a brand new primary academy in September 2015, with a large majority of our families relocating from overseas. Our building refurbishment has turned an imposing library building into a bright, modern and inspiring learning environment and we are continuing to invest in our setting – offering up-to-date technology and vibrant teaching and learning spaces for our pupils and staff. We are working hard to establish our ethos and core values resulting in a happy, inspiring learning environment where children are motivated to achieve and where staff are encouraged, supported and developed to continually strive for excellence.

🍰 Rach’s Bakes is BACK! 🍪💗

Parents & guardians… you’ve survived the first full week back at school! 🎉😂 The early alarms are back, uniforms are somehow already disappearing, PE days are being remembered (hopefully!) and the school routine is officially back in full swing…

You deserve cake. 👏🍰

And the timing couldn’t be better because Rach’s Bakes is returning to Veritas THIS FRIDAY! 💗

There’ll be plenty of delicious cakes, brownies, muffins and cookie pies ready and waiting at pick-up! 🤤

💗 £3 each or 4 for £10
💳 Cash or card accepted

Rach’s Bakes will be joining us once a month throughout the school year, so there’ll be plenty more Friday treats to come!

Parents & guardians — you made it through week one. Buy the cake. You’ve earned it! 😂🍰

And because the teachers will have survived the first week too… they’ll very kindly let you go first in the queue! 😂🍪

Mrs Fathers is one of those amazing people who seems to sort absolutely EVERYTHING for everyone – staff, pupils and parents alike! Whether you need help, an answer, something finding or a problem magically solving, Mrs Fathers is always there to save the day! ✨

We hope you have the loveliest, fun-filled weekend celebrating, you absolutely deserve it! 🥂🎈

We’re heading back to school✨📚

We can’t quite believe the summer holidays are nearly over! We have missed our Veritas children and families so much and can’t wait to welcome everyone back through the doors on Thursday! 💛

We’re so excited for a new school year filled with learning, laughter, new adventures and lots of special memories along the way🌟

Welcome to the world baby Theo! 💙

We’re so excited to share the lovely news that Mrs Morrissey and Mr Morrissey welcomed their gorgeous little boy Theo last week👶🏼

They are now settling into life as a family of five and enjoying lots of precious newborn cuddles🥰

Wishing Miss Cartlidge and Matt the most beautiful wedding day today🤍💍

Miss Pountney and Columbus class created Miss Cartlidge the most perfect wedding surprise. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room as Miss Cartlidge’s first, second and third classes wished them both a day full of love🤍

Once the new couple have shared their special day we will be sure to share their pictures with you all!

Our Year 1 Peake class designed colourful doggie bandanas for brighterdaysrescue to help their dogs find loving forever homes. Thank you Brighter Days Rescue!

A very special congratulations to Mrs Matthews and Mr Matthews on the safe arrival of their beautiful baby boy, Llewie! 💙

Llewie made his entrance on Friday morning, just before we closed our doors for the summer holidays, what a wonderful way to end the school year🍼✨

From everyone at Veritas, we wish Mrs Matthews, Mr Matthews and baby Llewie all the love, happiness and precious cuddles as you begin this exciting new chapter together. Congratulations! 💙👶

As we reach the end of another fantastic school year, I want to say how incredibly proud I am of every single one of our children. They have worked hard, embraced new challenges, shown kindness to one another and achieved so much. It has been a joy to see not only how much they have learnt, but also the confident, caring and resilient young people they have grown into.

A special good luck to our wonderful Year 6 pupils as they take the next exciting step on their journey. We know you will continue to shine and we wish you every success and happiness in your new schools. Don’t forget to come back and visit and tell us all about how you are getting on! You are always a part of Veritas!

Thank you to our families and staff for your continued support throughout the year. Wishing everyone a restful, safe and happy summer break. We look forward to welcoming you back in September, refreshed and ready for another exciting year together! Mr B!
